Need suggestions on visitor visa

Hi All,
My parents will be travelling to US in June for 3 months and they have plans to visit me in UK for 1 month (in september)while returning from US
Could you please suggest me with suitable options for below points
1.)Can we apply for general visitor visa from India now,since visit visa validity is up to 6 months.
2.)I'm in tier 2 dependant and we live in a single bedroom apartment, can we just say we will take care of accommodation for them ? Or we need to book a hotel for their stay? - please advice

1. Yes. They may ask for the effective date to start on the date of their arrival.

My Parents got their visa granted

Thanks to this Forum, this forum was indeed very helpful!!

One other question -
Do they need to do port of entry within 3 months from the date of visa start date.They have plans to visit us while returning from US in September (after 3 months) - will it cause any issue in Immigration?

- Please advice.

there is no such requirement. They can travel anytime during the validity of the visa.
