1. You can fill in the reference number from previous visa approval letters if you have any. If you can't find it, don't worry as it is not mandatory to provide this info.
2. BRP reference is the number you can find on the residence permit card on the top right corner (its alpha numerical) if you have been issued with one before.
cheers.

Thanks Mani.
But my current GRANT of leave is on BRP and i'm already providing information related to it in SECTION-10 (Biometric Residence Permits) ,page 44 and 45 . What we find on the top right corner of the BRP is BRP number and not reference number . I thought 1.10 and 1.12 should be left blank for new applications for main applicant ?

1.10 Leave blank if you don't have a Home Office reference Number.
2. With your BRP card ,did you receive a letter?. It must be having a reference number.

Thanks Mani and Kevin ,
BRP reference number is nothing but BRP number indeed. I'll fill with the same. This info is redundant though as one needs to provide current BRP details again in SECTION-10

I am assuming BRP is Biometric Residence Permit, so for some of us who do not have it, does it matter?
