New English Language Requirement After 28 October 2013

Post by SgtBellPepper » Sat Jul 20, 2013 1:24 pm

Just to clarify, after this date ALL BC applicants will have to pass an English exam?

Would studying with the OU not be sufficient proof of a knowledge of the English language?

I need to do more research or do some serious budgeting and hopefully get my partners application in before then if not.

I see some places are charging £110 for an oral exam that takes 10-15 minutes!

:(

Not necessarily.

Studying with OU or Oxford is not sufficient. What matters is the end qualification ie a degree taught in English. A degre is when you have a degree, not when you are studying for a degree.

As far as I know, no one is yet offering a research placement/PHD in english requirements for BC/Settlement.

You can start your own examination centre and charge less than £ 110

Hahaha very funny! A witty response to a genuine concern.

Thanks for that.
