Hi,

I believe it is yet another one of the April cases. 148 / 103 Working Days has passed already.

We applied for my wife's & daughter's Spouse/ Dependent Visa from Lahore on the 22nd of April, 2013 and have been waiting since then. They had their visit valid visa's so thought it wouldn't take long since they'd have their history with them but it wasn't the case.

Emailed the BHC automated response was sent.

But then about three weeks ago got in touch with the Local MP he then called the Home Office here in the UK and asked them to inquire from Pakistan Office then also wrote a letter to UKBA UK asking them to seek information and expedite the case. Unfortunately on both cases the response was " relevant checks are being made" etc etc no other information was provided.

120 working days will finish by the early second week of October, I seriously doubt they will even respond by that time too. Has anyone else has passed the 6 months/120 days time? What else should we do ?

He got 2 days to final packing lol I can't wait longer then that. If it was reversed I would have got flight to uk the next day lol

I do know of one girl who is approching her 24th week now and yet still they are not gving her any further information despite her now at 6 months (also an april applicant)

Oh Crap.

I think all we can do is wait, I am seriously considering to file a human rights case as they also have to abide by "information sharing act". No checks have been made from work/tenant agency or any other.

Most of people on the forums are above the minimum financial threshold I wonder whats the delay !! Does the delay only pertain to cases who's partners are Self Employed?

Nope because not all of the April waiting applicants are self employed, theres a mixture of employed etc too hence everyone is now worried why we are not being told the reason for the huge delay now.

I'm patient till October 10th then I will start to wonder where my application has got to.
There is one person on this forum that submitted on 22nd July and got the visa first week of September, so makes me wonder why some applications are processed so soon, as far as I know my application is straightforward....

what if they say no ??
Also its hard to get time off work n then to go there and be point blank refused is a huge risk to take.
What if the applicants went themselves?

1st thing they can't say no when u go their.according to their rules they listen to u carefully and solve ur problems with 48 hours.2nd thing is only british passport holder go their or the person who have permission letter from them.or the person who go with british passport holder can allow after soooo many checks

I think they can say no, because this would not be classed as an emergency. And until all checks are done no visa's are issued.. I hope this helps

I also have daughter in Pakistan with British passport, she was born there and granted passport after submitting an application at the embassy.

They will help you in terms of submitting paperwork, helping you with applications. But the processing stage is at their own discretion. No short cuts, no queue jumping.......just pot luck, think of it like a lottery your numbers come out u get a reply......................

Any of you guys used "localphone" as evidence of calls I think it's a great service and they send you monthly bills.

I Completely agree with you, they wont help in processing, even if we plan to go visit them.

I use Local Phone but with the invention of Tango Viber Skype etc and now this TU GO app from O2 a lot of people use use VIOP then direct dialing. I normally call via Tango,Viber to n fro from work.

Hope we all get a response real soon and that too a positive one.

I fail to see the point of doing shopping in Pakistan. What can you buy there that you can't get here lool, paki flights r ridiculous in this manner ppl bring over the whole house and pay more for it in the process. Pakistani mentality will never change, the word "junglies" comes to mind. To put things in prospective the countries a shambles. Some countries are exploring the outter galaxy and Pakistan ain't got enough electric or gas, or any type of sanitation, to serve its own population it's 400 years in the past. No respect for law and order and they claim to be Muslims. Tell ur wife forget the shopping jump on the plane and don't look back because that first flight is like sitting in a time machine.

wow nice comments but its true i just wanna ask you you ever been to pak recently and where did you visit in pak in terms of gas. electric .
energy sector and law and order i agree with you its government fault
but yes they need to fix all these things but for shopping you name it what we can find in uk but we cant find in pak
