UK Spousal visa for my wife

Post by kumar76 » Tue Oct 15, 2013 3:59 pm

UK Spousal visa online application from India

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi all ..

I am novice to this site and just wondering if any one could help me in my application for a Spousal visa for my wife (applying from India).

I am in UK with ILR visa and we got married in June 2013 in India. She will be applying for her visa on the 8th of November 2013. When, I was trying to book online for her visa appointment the following queries arose:

1. At the beginning it asks what type of visa are you applying for. In more details the questions are, a) Type of visa b ) Purpose of application and c)Type of application.
Can someone please tell me what the correct options are? There is no clear cut option for Spouse visa.

2. Secondly, do I need to submit SU07 sponsor letter with the application?

regards
kumar

One more question if you could clarify ..

1. My wife is in Mangalore (Karnataka) and my home town is in Mumbai. I have booked her appointment in Mumbai. Is it okay or has she to go to the nearest centre which is Bangalore.

2 (part of 1) . Moreover, can I give her address as my home town address in Mumbai. But, she has no proof of address in Mumbai?

Kumar

I believe she can attend any centre she likes.

But do not, in any way, shape or form, put anything untrue on the form. Deception is a nasty little catch all ban.

If she isn't living at your property - do not claim she is.

Dear Sir,

This question is regarding finance ..

My gross salary is 36250/- plus I get a bonus of 10% every year. But, during my wedding in the month of June 2013 I transferred money to India, and my account went into overdraft. I now have £4000 in my current account.

Is there anything I should take care of or know about?

regards
kumar

Only savings over £16000 matter, so the £4000 is immaterial. So long as you meet the financial requirement, further funds are not required.

Hi Lucapooka,

My went to the Visa office today and she was asked to submit SU07/12 sponsor form .. she was not allowed until she submits it. So I had to rush to office and take a print out and fax it back to her.

If you wife was asked to submit a sponsorship form despite meeting the financial requirement, then make a complaint.

This is simply bad service and a complete lack or training at the vac. The vac is a third party agency and often the people who operate them make their own interpretations which, inthis case, are wrong. Just complain otherwise things will never improve.

Hi,

Can some one please help me on this?

I have got dependent visa to my Visa. My wife's employer is sponsoring her and her employment is about to start on 10th Jan 2014 and she plans to come to UK on 8th Jan 2014.

My question is - Can I come to UK before her ..say around 2nd jan 2014?

Thanks

You are asking this in the wrong section of the forum! Furthermore, you need to start your own thread rather than rudely hijacking an existing discussion.

Hi,

You are correct. I should raise this subject. She was asked for the SU07 form at the reception before making the payment and before her file was handled. So, she had to rush back and get one through fax.

I am wondering .. where should I ladge a complaint. I will register this on thier website for sure.

thanks
kumar

If you email ECM complaints at the visa post (found on the relevant UKBA site in that location), you can say that the VAC staff are misdirecting their clients as they seem to have taken it upon themselves to make demands that are not relevant or required for the category of visa being requested by the applicant.
