thier ILR, and good to luck to those who are waiting.

I will be eligible next year same time, and I have 3 dependants, 2 kids are born here. I am having Tier 1 General.

Wondering if you could advise about the Maintenance funds required, for how long? Also if you are aware of whether do I need to apply at the same time for my dependant as some of you did? as I have been thinking my 2 kids born here and I if may be drop them off for now, first to get mine and my mrs to get ILR and then apply for them directly naturalisation?

prompt response is highly appreciated.

Thanks
If they are born here and don't have any travel documents then you need not apply for ILR and do the registration as British citizens using MN1.

If they have travelled outside the country and have visa then I am not sure. Other gurus please advice.
ILR (SET M) VISA finally granted after 1 year and 1 Month!!!

Post by kittylitter030507 » Thu Nov 21, 2013 11:09 am

Ours was a SET (M) application and straightforward case. I am a British Citizen.

Postal application for Indefinite Leave to Remain sent on 29 October 2012
Biometrics done 12th December 2012
DAT 1 form requested and done 11th February 2013
ILR Approved and advised by email with letter attached 21/11/2013
( in response to my complaint to this email address FurtherNationalityEnquiries@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk)

No proper explanation of why we had to wait so long but thank God the wait is finally over and we can get on with our lives :-)

If you are waiting a long time, don't lose hope. We almost had done.

It's soul destroying I know.

Good luck!

PBD Dependent extension and ILR for PBS Dependent

Post by fannofler » Thu Nov 21, 2013 12:00 pm

I recently got ILR but we need to extend my partners PBS dependent as she has not been in the UK for 2 full years yet and her visa is due to expire soon.

Do I need to send my original passport and BRP with my wife's Tier 1 PBS extension or could photocopies work??

Do I need to send my original passport and BRP with my wife's ILR application (we are thinking of applying by post for PBS extensions and then varying it to ITL in 4 weeks time when she is eligible for ILR) or could photocopies work??

Much appreciated!

I am the same. Biometric was done on the 30th of March, still waiting. Didn't write to the MP but I might do if it doesn't arrive for another month. It's been 8 months now. Don't know what happened.

I did ring them about two months ago, a lady basically just told me my application is still there somewhere but it takes as long as it takes. I feel we don't get any human rights on anything to do with immigration. There is no governing body for home office and there is nobody to ask to check progress.

Absolutely over the moon. My wife received her ILR letter yesterday and the biomatrics arrived first thing yesterday morning.

Here is the timeline again:

Application:Set (M)
Application Date: 07/10/13 (used Settlement checking service and paid £90)
Application posted by council SCS: 08/10/2013
Application received by Home Office: 09/10/2013
Acknowledgemnt letter recieved: 17/10/2013
Payment Taken: 11/10/2013
BRP letter: 01/11/2013
BRP taken: 07/11/2013 (Manchester Deansgate)
ILR Approval date: 02/12/13
BRP received: 05/12/13

Total time taken is exactly 8 weeks and less than 4 weeks from the date my wife registered her BRP.

It's worth spending 90 quid and using the settlement checking service.
I can't thank this forum enough for all the help and support I had since 2011.

God Bless You All
:) :) :)

Documents sent...... All the original docs were given back to us apart from BRP card and of course the photographs:
*My wife's non-British passport
*my British passport
*Two photographs of my wife
*My photograph x 1
*My 6 Months payslips
*Wife's last 3 months payslips (part time)
*3 months bank statement of 2 current account (separate names)
*LITUK certificate
*Wife's current BRP (expiring on 18th Oct)
*Marriage certificate (though it wasn't required as the spouse visa was granted on the same marriage) The council lady told us it's only required if we got married after she was granted spouse visa which isnt the case.
*16 cohabitation documets (from 4 different souces) including one joint bank account statement from every year, 3 water bills in joint names, a tenancy agreement in joint names, 3 British Gas bills in joint names from every year and 3 x 2 NHS letters from 2011-13 in both but separate names.
The council lady was stressing more on documents in joint names on the top of what we already provided. It wasn't making sense as she already had more than enough cohabitation proof. Anyway the application is gone and the waiting game begins from now.
