Spouse Visa Documents! Help Please.........

Post by Shoonoo » Sun Nov 17, 2013 11:02 pm

Hi I will be sponsoring my husband for spouse visa from pakistan soon in 2 months time.
My question is what form do I need is it VAF4A & APPENDIX 2?

These are the documents that I have:

- My passport photocopy & my daughters (do I need to send originals or get it stamped by solicitors?)

- My driving license photocopy

- National Insurance Number letter

- Marriage certificate (photocopy & original)

-Registered marriage at local council (photocopy & original)

- Utility bills

- Wedding photos, days out

- Skype snapshots, messages

- Birthday cards, anniversary cards,

- I will be getting a letter from my parents to say hes welcome here & will stay free of charge

- Phone call history

- Airline tickets when I went also our daughter

- NADRA card mine & my daughters photocopied

This is what my husband will be putting in the folder:

-His birth certificate & photocopy

- Photocopy of passport & original

- 2 passport pics

- Birthday cards I sent & anniversary cards,

- TB certificate

- English language certificate

Does he need to take the life in the uk test & the b1 test?

If you can add to anything please do & thanks for reading. :)

Stamp them just in case. My husband's was approved with just mine certified.

You don't need this.

Supporting letters from you and your husband?
Where is your employment/financial information?
Are you earning the required amount? How long have you been with your current employer?

Hi don't know if I should make a new thread or not, anyways my question is when you photocopy the documents does it matter if its in colour or not like for NADRA card or passport?
I don't think it matters but would like to see what others think.
Does the passport photocopy need to be attested by solicitor get it stamped by him/her?
Thanks

Your husband doesn't need to copy his passport as he will be submitting it.

Colour copies can be helpful - clearer, but black and white is fine also.

Thanks for the reply again I really appreciate it.
Do you know how your meant to apply for spouse visa?
I heard that you have to do it online now & then print off what form do I need to send the SU07/12 form aswell?
Would it be ok for me to do the online application form print off then send off with additional required documents?
Thanks

I'm not sure how it works for Pakistan, but for Jamaica we applied online yes, printed the form and booked the biometrics appointment. I was planning to visit my husband soon after anyway so I arranged the appointment for a few days after I would be arriving. In your case you can print it off and send it with everything via courier.

The form shouldn't be for the spouse visa but some countries wont accept the application without the SU07/12 so just have it completed just in case.

The appendix 2 and SU07/12 should be printed from the UKBA site.

My husband received his visa last Tues, he's here in the UK with me now. Just ensure you have everything they require in the correct format.

You complete the main form online and print. Go to the Pakistan page on the UKBA website and it will explain how you go about doing the application. You can print everything and send it to your husband.

Good luck :)
