Has anybody noticed that the last date for debit of fees is 22/10/13

Nothing from the 23/10/13 they seem to have stopped debiting fees from this date since last friday.

I'm really worried now it has been more than 4 weeks as promised by UKBA

  :? :(

There were a lot of applications to get through from Oct 21-22. Remember that this was the final week before the KOLL rule change. A number of Oct 22nd applicants posted yesterday to say that their fees had gone out. Things are moving, but for the Oct 21-25 week it's going to take time.

Letter of Ackcnowledgement for joint application for my wife and I received today dated 22nd November 2013
You really are the flag bearer of new rule applicants!!

In my opinion, Payment processing will slow down even more for next few days & we'll see more approvals for early/mid Oct now... somehow getting a feeling that Home Office is trying to process as many as possible old rule applications before they start processing applications with new rules (helps is avoiding confusion for case worker when dealing with 2 different types of cases).

Having said that looking at sample size of applicants immediately on/after 28 Oct ~ 1/2 week of Nov will be processed faster as it seems not many applied immediately on/after 28th.

That makes me even more nervous as the fees were debitted based on a form after the 28.10.13

I wouldn't worry, Real34. My bank only showed -£874 yesterday and my application was received on the 22nd. I'm sure it's a matter of days for you. The money might already be on its way out, just not showing yet. What I would do is call the bank, ask them if there has been any demand of £874, and if there hasn't, tell them there will be, so they should make sure they authorise it. That's what I did on Thursday, on Friday the bank called to say they had authorised it, on Monday evening it showed on internet banking and I got my letter today.

so far so good, but I just have been lucky the lazy caseworker did not pick up my application.

I'm having good hopes of getting the approval letter before the end of the year but we only need to be patient and wait.

good luck p2kin and real34 and all the ones waiting.

don't be... Pqek has paid using Cheque, & it takes a week to clear, so I assume that probably Home Office is just starting to send Cheques out for clearing..

Payments by CC/DC will be cleared faster than Cheques. I'd suggest, instead of looking at individual cases & comparing yourself, look at the pattern of process.

Thanks Pqek, You are now in main stream... New rule flag bearer :)

I'm just trying to understand what's going on in Home Office by just observing sample of data that is reported on this forum.

I'm just trying to think from Home Office's point of view & it definitely make sense that they should send Cheques out for clearing as normal clearing cycle takes about 3~5 working days. If my thinking is correct, then while loading a new batch of application onto the system, they'll start with applicants with cheques, also they'll try to flush (making decisions on) as many application as possible. I might be wrong too in thinking, but am just thinking positive :)

That's even better then, that mean at least one case worker has started looking into applications with new rules..

I just think there is no science on this and an application could be on top or bottom of a pile depending timings for receiving it. Caseworkers would also decide to take from one pile or another without real logic.

On this way there is a pattern of dates and timings to deal with an application but they are not processed exactly as received. This is why my application from the 28th was acknowledged before others that submitted a week ago, because my own application by luck went on top of the pile.

Just my thoughts though.

Hmm, might be.. but 28th Oct has some significance.. they'll have to treat/process applications before that separately. Although there is no change in payment processing part of it.. so yeah.. you could be right in that sense..

Hmm, seems like no one so far. Yesterday we heard from legendz, kritter100, polandcalling1, navenby, Scanner, rajan1984 and Mili1705 (all apps received by the HO on Oct 22nd). No advance on Oct 22nd so far with the exception of Pqek, who is an outlyer at the moment.

For approvals, the two outlyers we know of so far are nora_k (HO rec'd Oct 21st) and Kibria (HO rec'd Oct 19th). All other apps approved so far were received by the HO on Oct 15th or earlier. Congratulations both of you!

Date of receipt by UKBA: 22/10/13 Royal Mail Track & Trace signed by SHACKLOCK

I am a bit concerned that it has now been 6 weeks and no news. My fees hasn't been deducted yet? So I'm guessing its the change of the rules.
