MN1 marriage certificate photocopy

Post by opty88 » Sun Dec 15, 2013 8:21 pm

Hi members,
I will be applying for MN1 registration for my 2 kids this week. However, the HO has the original copy of my marriage certificate (FLR M) application.
Can I send a photocopy? I intend to use NCS

Thanks

First, if you are the mother or the children were born after 2006, marriage certificate is not needed.

Second, if the HO hold the original, a copy (and a reference that they have the original) should be accepted.

The definition of father was actually changed on 1st July 2006 so in this case marriage certificate is not needed (as born after 01/07/2006) assuming you are listed on the birth certificate.
