My wife got a phone call today from British embassy and asking for more documents to be submitted.

Copy of my kids British passports

Skype / Viber logs even though i have submitted already.

copy of my passports etc

I have already sent them chat logs but they are asking again i do not know i can get it again cos my history was deleted.

Could you please tell me how to get the history.....

I don't think u can retrieve viber msgs if u haven't backed up dem. Y not use multiple things to prove contact wiv ur other half (if u hav used any other thing like skype, email, fbk, fone bills or any other app). I mean use a copy ov ur previous viber msgs wich u snt in ur first application and also add more contact proofs frm other sources for later time.

Brother you were looking at non settlement cases, figures for settlement cases are only shown from Islamabad stating 90% cases resolved in 120 days which is ridiculous.

Guys Just to give you some update i did try to retrieve the skype logs which i could only retrieved 7 days back plus i do have about month long Viber and whats app logs and off course sent them all phone call logs from last 1 and half year which is luckly managed by my voip account.

Yesterday i sent them all the documents via email and they confirmed that they have received.

So keeping finger crossed Hope i will be sorted with 3 weeks Inshallah. As guy suggested that by 15 Jan you will get the out come by visa office.

I was thinking u might hav retrieved all ov ur skype history. yes but do consider dat there r only 5 working days till 2nd Jan 2014. Anyways best ov luck.

@ HELLO786, i think there will b only one holiday for new year (on 1st ov Jan) bcoz dey hav only shown holidays on Gerry's website for 2013 n dey dont hav any holiday for 31st Dec 2013.

Last two days I went on an advance Immigration Training Course and the Barrister delivering the course is of the opinion that the 18600 requirement may come to around £13-14k per year, but the bad news is that the Government will not be happy with the outcome and will pursue the matter further from the High Court to the Supreme Court.

They are most likely to drag the matter well into 2015 as that is when the next Parliamentary election is likely to take place in the UK and that is when the changes will probably take effect.

He said this is going to be bad news for couple and their anxious wait is likely to continue for some time yet........unfortunately.

I asked him reason for this and he was very blunt and told me forthright that the Government wants to make it so hard for foreign spouses, in the hope that this culture of marrying from abroad will cease in the near future.

I asked him what will happen to all the applicants on hold...he said
they will remain on hold if they do not meet the 18600 criteria !!!!!!. (sorry folks).

He also said that those who have come here under the new rules will mean their British spouse can not afford to be out of work for 5 yrs as they have to be earning this amount for 5 yrs when their spouse gets ILR

Furthermore they will not be able to claim any Public funds for those 5 years.All this is likely to put a lot of stress on the couples relationship.Not to mention that if the marriage breaks up, the applicant will be deported back to Pakistan

From above you can see the Governments aims......they will make it so hard that eventually people will give up any thought of marrying from abroad.

In the last 1.5 years there has been a 93% drop in settlement cases...........YES 93%. The Government said their aim was to reduce
it by 67%.......but they are not revealing the true number of 93%.

Salaam Batleykhan,

I wanted to ask this question; say you have applied for a spouse visa using savings as a shortfall to meet the income requirement. Where you have said that you need to be in work for 5 years earning the £18,600.00 minimum requirement salary to then apply for ILR. How would you then apply incase you do not get a job which pays that amount of salary?

Could you still use savings to meet that shortfall? As from my take on the subject, I am sure you can judging by what has been stated by the home office in the annex 1.7fm guidelines.

Working days ago and still no reply, my only worry Is that they may have an objection to the evidence provided for contact. I ring here every day from my contract phone but I have been using calling cards, therefore my bill only showed the number for calling card and not her number, so I photocopied many cards (50+) and sent them with the application. Do u think that will be sufficient? Or has anyone done the same. Couldn't do Skype as its not possible in our remote village. Thanks

I suggest you e-mail them using the e-mail address provided a few pages back, ask firstly if they have received the application and if it's still under process/or a decision has been made and for them to let you know what the outcome of it is. Don't make the e-mail too lengthy keep it short and sweet and they should contact you.
