I think the best option for you is to see a good solicitor before the case get complicated because i dont think you inform the embassy in your home country that you will be living here after your visitor visa expire.
I think this is going to be a good Christmas for everybody because our lawyer called us today and said my wife has been granted DLR .

I will like to know what time she can apply for ILR because they gave her the DLR(2.5yrs) base on the Unmarried partner application that we put in for her?

The 2.5 year Art. 8 leave at a time is a 10 year route to settlement.

Possible if you meet the Financial and English requirements etc.... The route to settlement would then be 5 years.

One allows access to public funds, the other doesn't. It's trivial for child benefit and tax credits if you have a settled/British partner.

No I'm afraid the family life leave can't be combined with FLR(M) but for long residence, which is again 10 years. FLR(M) needs to be separate.

Your partner was given leave under family/private life for 2.5 years was she not? This is a 10 year route to settlement. Although she applied under FLR(M) she must not have meet one or more of the requirements.

Thanks for the reply so any DLR on unmarried partner will automatically be a family/private life route which is 10 yrs and after your first 2.5yrs you still have another 7.5 yrs to spend before you can have your settlement onlesss you change to spouse visa to you reduce it to 5yrs route.
