The people emailing regarding updates before even a 12 week period has elapsed are wasting their time to be honest as it quite clearly states on the website that they aim to make a decision on 95% of applications within 12 weeks and 100% within 24 weeks.

I'm definitely under the impression too that the people at the BHC don't even bother to read most of the e-mails that are sent and an automated response is just generated. I may be wrong though. If more than 24 weeks have gone by since submission that's when you can be a bit more worried and wonder what the hell is going on as per my wife's case :(

Dont worry about your status not changing. I have heard this has happened to some applicants, however there applications were under process when they contacted embassy.

ut just to keep your mind at ease best to contact embassy and explain to them that your status has not changed and ask them is it under process.
Thank you for your response ALWAYSSHOPE, I'm really worried incase they have forgotten about it or the documents have been lost

In shaa Allah !! Your day will be tomorrow or next week definitely as so far that seems to be the order of applicants getting replies.. Pretty sure the last person i saw on the other forum was around 24/25 sept! and that was 2 days ago.. meaning i reckon 26th people may have heard today.

Do keep us up dated!

Hope i hear soon. Of course ill keep you updated.

My husband application was refused because apparantly he didnt meet the english requirement. He submitted results sheet to show he passed his listening, but they wanted certificate. People who had same refusal as us all won appeal. Unlucky us.

On the guidance on the UKBA website it stated that they accepted results sheet. Could have won appeal at hearing. Homeoffice rep admitted error, but judge messed up our case for us.

Hi Sara,

My Wife applied on 16 Dec and our status hasn't changed too.

Like Alwayshope mentioned that they some time tend not change statuses and simply get to conclusion.

However i'd not contact them until 13 weeks as that's thier prescribed time or returning back to applicants.

So like myself there are plenty in same boat as you.

Salaam,

My wife applied from mirpur at the start of november 2013. So far, there hasn't been an RFC. I sent an e-mail asking if they had received the application, they said they had, and that it was under process.

Just playing the waiting game.

I have been waiting since May.

They are not even replying! My MP will be asking a question in the Parliament for these delays which are only happening in Pakistan.

That's good news mashallah. Did she apply from mirpur? Mirpur is meant to be rather quick, but who knows how much checks they're doing. Some peoples cases are straight forward...others not so much. Just got to wait and see what they say, nothing more can be done once the case is submitted.

Salaam everyone,
I'm a newbie here and we just recently submitted a spouse visa application for my hubby. My timeline is currently as follows-

Application filed at City : Islamabad
Application submitted on : 30/12/13
Application forwarded to Islamabad OC on : 30/12/13
Application under process at British High Commission on : 13/01/14

I am employed but am currently earning under £18,600. However I have applied under the fact that I have cash savings in excess of £16,000 + (2.5 x the difference between my annual income and £18,600). I have had these funds in my account for over the 6 months required although they were initially gifted to me by family members.
I have provided evidence of this in the form of bank statements and provided a breakdown in the appendix 2 form my hubby filled in for the financial requirement.

Does anyone on this forum know of anyone being granted a visa under this circumstance? As the guidelines state this is acceptable. But I am extremely anxious that I will wait out the 24 weeks to find that they have just put it on hold without checking my documents properly as I have read several times on this forum. They don't seem to inform people either.

some more info for you. I have been married over a year and a half. The rules about the minimum income changed shortly after my marriage hence the delay in me applying. I was trying to get my finances in order to strengthen my application after the wedding (we all know how expensive they can be) and found out that I didn't fit the minimum income after going to see the local solicitor. heartbreaking!!!
I have been going to see my hubby every 6-8 months and last saw him in July 2013 when we went on holiday to Dubai together. Seems like a lifetime ago. This whole thing is so nerve wracking!!!
Centre: Islamabad
Online application: 20/12/13
Submitted: 30/12/13
Forwarded to ISB OC: 30/12/13
Under process at BHC : 13/01/14
Call for RFC: 24/06/14
Outcome: Visa Granted Alhamdulillah
