November 2013 - Naturalization Application Timeline

Wondering am I the only one here who haven't heard anything yet...?
Submitted the application on the 16th Nov 2013 it has been received by the HO on 18th Nov 2013.
I have an idea I think the HO is working on Novumber application like that which is they have split our applications on two teams first team is working from the beginning of the month to the middle of it and the other team working from the end of the month to the middle of it as well that's why the most of the middle applicants haven't heard anything yet and I am one of them.....!!!
Maybe am wrong and they just picking up the applications randomly or they r doing the checks and who ever came back first has to hear first..... mmmmmmm I really don't know lol anyway I wish the best for all of us

Just keep calm and be patient and ask god for help. I don't think there is anyone like waiting but unfortunately we can't do anything just we have to wait

I totally feel your pain. I'm a November 19th applicant, fees deducted Jan 13th, still no acknowledgement or approval letter. I can only pray and have faith. Everything happens as and when it should, so I have surrendered my application. I hate not having the control but maybe this is a good time to exercise faith. I hope you get yours soon. :)

Just called HO now and was told the additional documents I sent over a month ago was just added to the system on the 16/02. The guy I spoke to said they are currently dealing with applications up till November 3rd.
One can safely make the following assumptions:
1) the backlog is still huge
2) in my view, applications are treated in random because we are already seeing approvals fir December.

We have to keep waiting

It certainly doesn't hurt to call them. For what it's worth I called once last week and once yesterday. Last week they said it was incomplete, then yesterday they said a letter had been sent out two days ago. Wasn't able to say what the content was as he didn't have access to that system. The letter arrived the same day so it proves I was given correct information.

They did give me the generic response the first time I called that it can take up to six months etc etc, but if there is an update to give you it seems they will let you know.

Ceremony booked: 20/02/2014 (Now I am a proud British Citizen )
Applied for the 1st British passport: 20/02/2014

A Piece of Advice

Guys, when booking the ceremony, please check for all the options, Swear/Oath/affirmation. Because all of them have different appointment dates availability. Some of them are earlier than the other. In my case, the earliest appointment for swearing was available on 20th March whereas for the affirmation it was on 20th Feb- So I got the earliest one.

This forum has really been helpful to retain my patients during the process. I wish luck to everyone who is still waiting

Quite a few Jan '14 applications got approved as well..check the Jan thread.

I called them yesterday and was told that a letter was posted on the 20th Feb and this morning I received both HO and Council letters.
