Can you share the email itself as well as the email address (if it is a generic email address)?qwmm wrote: ↑Wed Jan 09, 2019 2:25 pmFor the very first time, I received an email from UKVI. They did mention that they started working on the delayed cases since the new system (UKVCAS) was introduced.
I don't know what triggered this email. I called them so many times but never heard back (neither email nor phone call).
Now even receiving a single email feels good.

I have finally received an email this morning confirming my ILR application. It took 6 1/2 weeks in total. I'm very relieved but also angry at the fact they took £600 for a 24 hr service. I ahve requested a refund via their complaints e-mail. A few to things to note and to sum up:
- Biometrics appointment on 26th November 2018
- Escalated 5 times and the only communication I received was a generic e-mail saying my application will be decided within 6 months. Please note that during one of my escalations, the call centre told me to ignore this as it is a generic email and my application will be dealt with as soon as possible.
- On 20th December I submitted a complaint with a full breakdown ( dates, names emails) etc
- On 03 Jan 2019 I received a phone call from UKVI to let me know the Super Priority Applications have a massive backlog and they are trying to process them as soon as possible. The lady did confirm I will receive a full refund for the Super Priority Fee (£600) if the delay was not caused by the applicant. In my case, the delay was entirely up to the HO.
- Coincidentally, today, 09th Jan, I received a reply from their complaints e-mail asking for further details and dates to assist my complaint. 15 minutes later, I received my application confirmation email. It reads :
I’m pleased to confirm that your application for further leave to remain under ILR of the immigration arrangements has now been granted. You will receive the decision letter and biometric residence permit (BRP) in due course and these will confirm your client’s immigration status. Thank you for using our super priority service.
I have replied to the complaints e-mail demanding a full refund for the fee and I have also replied to the confirmation email I received from the caseworker as it appears to be an actual personal e-mail. I cannot share this for data protection.
I am more than happy to get together and request a refund. I will keep posting if I received any replies concerning the refund. Total flop from the HO on the super priority applications. It is not fair that this is the way they treat skilled immigrants. I hope I can get my money back. I hope the above helps. Going by the most recent posts, it appears some people have been told their application will be done within Jan 2019. At least there is a deadline.
Hello, It was the earliest availability and I paid additional £100 for 'out of hour' service. I checked several other centers near where I live, and Croydon had the earliest appointment.kiwijane123 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 08, 2019 3:58 amHello. I see that there were over 2 weeks between application submission and biometrics appointment. May I ask if that was because there were no appointments available sooner, or because you were only free on the 21stof Dec to attend the appointment?groot05 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 07, 2019 10:48 amHi all,
Below is my SET(LR) application timeline
Online application submitted : 04th Dec 2018
Biometric application date : 21st Dec 2018
Application center : Croydon (8 am)
Decision letter received : 31st Dec 2018
BRP received : 04th Jan 2019
I was very frustrated over the wait during the holiday period, otherwise an OK experience.
Happy to answer any questions.
this sounds identical to what happened with me. I got a reply from the @complaints email address, then the acceptance on the same afternoon.ecu-daba wrote: ↑Wed Jan 09, 2019 2:34 pmHi All:

Makes sense @Badhodor...badhodor wrote: ↑Wed Jan 09, 2019 11:11 amGuys, I have read the last few posts and on one hand i do support the idea of us banding together and doing something about this mess, but on the other hand having read that HO has replied to one poster about the delays and that HO/UKVI is going to clearup all the backlogs by Jan2019.
Knowing UKVI/HO reputation, that is probably not something they will stick to as they gain nothing from doing so. But, to give them the benefit of the doubt, I would say to wait a week more atleast. Since, this is the first week back to work for most people.
Then there is the elephant in the room, posting anything personal will not be allowed on this forum due to various understandable reasons one such reason being GDPR!!!
But, let's cross that bridge when we come across that?
In other news, I called my MP3 days in a row (today being the 3rd day). I was informed that the MP's office has sent an email and the HO can take upto 20 working days to reply back. I will be informed once they get a response.
Incidentally, my 20 working days from complaints email to HO is also next week, so hopefully should hear something.
If anyone wants to PM me to discuss the meeting up matter, please feel free to do so.

Hi CR001, you mean Tier 1 Genral to ILR is point based ? in Tier 2 set 0, I didn't see any points based criteria ?CR001 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 09, 2019 2:58 pmSet O ILR is points based systems and not spouse settlement visa route.lucas91 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 09, 2019 2:32 pmDid you apply for Tier 2 or family visa?bipink wrote: ↑Wed Jan 09, 2019 2:18 pmHello,

It is a points based CATEGORY visa or PBS dependent visa, ie not a spouse of. BC visa. They are different rules and requirements, which is the point I am making.vibe123 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 09, 2019 4:47 pmHi CR001, you mean Tier 1 Genral to ILR is point based ? in Tier 2 set 0, I didn't see any points based criteria ?CR001 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 09, 2019 2:58 pmSet O ILR is points based systems and not spouse settlement visa route.lucas91 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 09, 2019 2:32 pmDid you apply for Tier 2 or family visa?bipink wrote: ↑Wed Jan 09, 2019 2:18 pmHello,

Hey,
I am academic and I listed my research/job as primarily reason to stay in UK, hence provided my employment letter, secondly I listed my Mortgage/Home another reason to stay in UK.
Goodluck to your application.
I am preparing my application for ILR (long residence) too and have a question about the employment letter and mortgage evidence you provided.
I've completed a 'dummy' application online and on the document checklist there is no request for a letter from the employer or mortgage evidence; can I assume you added these in order to strengthen your application?
I am planning to change jobs after I get ILR (as in, hand in my notice the day after ILR is granted because I already have an offer from another employer).
At the time of application, my current employer should be able to issue me with a letter confirming I am working for them and will continue to do so. It might raise questions when I request such a letter though because my Tier 2 is still valid for 3 years.
So my preference is to not ask my employer for a letter to support ILR in case they ask why, at which point they might guess that I am intending to change jobs and refuse to/become legally not able to issue me with a letter if they know I am leaving.
You mentioned that it was a 'simple' application because you were staying with your employer, I am wondering whether my application will be considered less simple if I cannot demonstrate that I am staying.
So my question is, was this letter a mandatory part of your application and if not, do you think it helped to include it?
There is a question regarding any other reason to stay in UK, which I selected Yes and I guess after that under the checklist I had to give evidence of below:
Documents supporting my other reasons to stay in the UK?
I gave my job and mortgage as two reasons to stay in UK. So provided employment and mortgage papers. I think at least if you are earning well, you may able to provide P60 for previous few years, payslips (last 6) and corresponding bank statements, even if the current employment letter is missing, you could add a copy of contract if you have and it shows the contract you got is permanent/open-ended. I had all the papers so I submitted but I am not sure how they will access your employment without employment letter. The application form does ask about your employment and they may verify current status anyway from your office HR. So I would suggest you to ask senior member of this website to discuss how to present employment in best possible way.
I think my case was simple in a sense that from years I was studying and later got employment with the same institution. I think as long you have a clean immigration history, you will be fine.
Best wishes.
I hav a question about the Sopra Steria website. I have submitted ILR (LR) application for myself and my family. When i go to the Documents submission page, Im given optional documents catergory ONLY and No Mandatory documents. Does that seem normal? Did you get the same page?
You can download it from this link and upload on sopra under application tab or otheralokpanda123 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 09, 2019 10:39 pmHi All,
I have a strange problem. I can not manage to locate the consent form that has to be signed and uploaded as part of the application. Is there a way this can be requested during biometrics and verification process?
