11. Went through Agency - Yes, tried myself for few weeks for the appointment overnight but no luck, being an IT contractor it is difficult for me to secure a role while visa in process. It’s worth the money for the excellent service provided.

Appointment @ 11.45. Reached @ 10.00. Went in @ 10.30. Biometric Done @ 13.30. Caseworker called @ 15:30. Case Approved & Letter given @ 16:15.

Documents Submitted:

Dividend Vouchers, Payslips, P/L Statement, Accountant Letter, Personal bank Statements, Business bank statements, invoices, contract letter, VAT Certificate, PAYE Registration, Company incorporation certificate and copies of all these docs.

By seeing the recent cases, I have carried my PMP and other IT certifications to prove my IT competency. However CW didn't ask for anything and said everything is fine with the application.

I have almost spent last 3 months daily going through this forum. Thanks to everyone in this forum for all the assistance and guidance.

5. Payment mode : Credit Card
6. PEO: Croydon
7. income: Employed (Salary)

Stayed in Croydon night before as travelodge is near by but wouldnt recommend as it wasnt the best room. Appointment booked for 08;45 went there 08;10
Went through security etc paid fee 08:30 application checks and biometrics taken at 09;30 had to wait for half n hour as there was meeting for all staff.
Went to a window case worker just asked if I am representing someone or its my won case and if I am employed or self employed.
Gave him the file and he asked me if I want to pop out and come back in an hour.
Came back at 10;30 and went straight to the case worker as he was about to call out for me.
Gave me the paperwork and said that the extension is approved and I shall receive the card in next few days.

So straight forward and much easier as compared to long ended postal wait which could take upto 6 months.

So £300 extra well spent

All the best guys

Detail exp: " I had an appointment at 9am and we(me and my wife) reached office at 8.25am. Office opened at 8.30am and they let me in. Here are sequence of events unfolded: 8)

1. They looked at our bags and a quick security check (like in airport)
2. After security, they asked us to sit in the waiting area, and said he will come back with Ticket number.
3.We sat in waiting area, after 10 mins, one officer comes up with a ticket number and a feedback form (which also contains what all things happen during the day).
4.They called our ticket no to go to Counter 4. We went to counter, and there was a lady officer. She asked us to sit and asked our forms and other docs. She verified my payslips with bank statements. And she looked happy.
5.She asked any doc to prove me and my wife stay together. I gave rent agreement. And she was happy with that.

Extras:
-Solihull office staff are very nice, and they will tell about grant of visa extension before taking the payment. ( I heard in some of the PEOs first they take payment)
-There is a John Lewis car park just near office.
-Over all my exp with Solihull is very nice.
-Also, I wrote feedback to improve their PEO appointment booking system.

approved within 2 hours of application, however i had unique experience of case worker asking my wife (dependent) more questions then myself until i intervened to inform that i was the main applicant incase he was confused. and it turned out he indeed had put my photos on her application form and vice versa. except this he asked me to submit all the documents i had got and asked me if i had any copies which i gave.
i only submitted mandatory documents and extra salary summary which was very useful.
my experience was i must say very professional and good. everything was smooth and i had only carried what was required.
i am indebted to this forum and its wonderful posters who contribute so much for others, my special thanks to honey_parmar,Manka10, thebionicredneck2003, cs95tdg, kiranchinnu, eskay_s
my advise is keep it simple and follow the guidelines more then anything, DO NOT PROVIDE more then necessary as it may go against you for no reason.
all the best
Peace

1. Current vignette HSMP / Tier 1 : Tier 1 (G)
2. Date of PEO Appointment : 28-02-2013
3. Employment: Salary + Dividend as Limited Company Director
4. Date of expiry of current leave (visa) : 08-03-2013
5. Date of expiry of the new visa : 28-02-2015
6. Payment mode : Visa Debit
7. Name of PEO Applied : Belfast
8. Approval letter: Given on the same day
9. BRP Received on: 05-03-2013

Documents :
- Payslips
- Dividend Voucher (Signed by myself as director)
- Bank statements

I had appointment at 2 pm. I went 1 hours early and they let me in. I have been issued ticket at 1:40 pm and I was out with approval letter at 2:30 pm, very quick process. I keep my case simple and only submitted the required and relevant documents. I submitted 12 Month payslips from my permanent job, 12 months bank statement and 1 dividend voucher signed by me as director. When I submitted my documents after checking them Case worker ask me a question about dividend voucher. she asked me why this letter is written by me addressing myself and if I have any letter from accountant. I told her that I am the only director therefore it has to be singed by me as director of the company and I dont use account. She asked me how I get payment from my clients and if I have any invoices. I dont have any invoices and I told her I send invoice to my clients and they pay into business bank account. I handed over my business bank statement if she want to see transections. She took it and ask me to wait. After 5 mins she called me and told me to make the payment and go for biometrics while they check the documents. I paid the fee and given biometrics. After giving biometrics I was advised to wait. After approx 10 mins an other lady called me on a different counter and told me my application has been approved and the new visa start date will be from 28-2-2013 and expiry will be 28-2-2015. I told her my current visa expiry date is 08-03-2013 and it should start from 08-03-2013 till 08-03-2015 but she said as per new rules the expiry date will be exactly after 2 years from the date decision made and it wont be any issue for ILR. She given me approval letter and told me I will get BRP in post within 7 days.

Over all good experience. Small office, no rush, I saw only two other applicants while my case was in process. Friendly staff, I saw only three young girls who were dealing with applicants.

As per my experience and understanding about visa application, make your application simple and submit only required and relevant documents and be confident. I was advised to get latter from accountant and get attested dividend voucher by accountant but as per my understand it is not a requirement by HM Revenue and home office. The dividend voucher has to be signed by secretary or director of the company. I have read a post from an other member in this forum he did the same and did not use account and got visa approval at PEO without any problem and same in my case. I paid additional fee to apply in person instead of paying accountant just to get a letter from him :D

Wish everyone best of luck for their visa applications.

PEO Experience Croydon

Post by netbee » Wed Mar 06, 2013 9:44 pm

Thanks To Every one on this forum to put your comments / suggestions.

Here is my Experience at Croydon

1. Current vignette : Tier 1 (G)
2. Date of PEO Appointment : 06-Mar-2013
3. Number of dependents: 2
4. Employment: Employed
5. Payment mode : Debit Card / Credit Card
6. Name of PEO Applied : Croydon
7: Approval letter: Given on the same day
8. BRP Received on: yet to receive

Appointment was 12:10PM went on gate at 11:40, Security guard on external door check booking reference and let through in. Ask to wait in next room. It was empty, after few minutes few other people came and then security guards called for security through. Normal Airport style security. Every thing went fine. After security a lady took to next door on ground floor and asked to get token on Counter. Gentlemen on count took passport and application form and check some details and issued token
number. Were directed to go to first floor. Went to first floor, made payment one using credit card and other two (dependents) via debit card. Went OK. I did informed my Bank about transactions a day before. Just to be on safe side :P

Waited in waiting area and after around 12:40 was called to submit document, that lady check some details on forms / passports. (This lady was more keen in chatting with other colleague in background rather then getting things done. She went of desk 3 times and then apologized. I was just chatting and laughing in background. :@
She asked to go to Bio metric area and wait there to get bio metric done. Was called for bio metric for immediately :). After bio-metric taken was told by staff member
to wait again to be called. Had bio-metric done before 1 PM. Then waited , waited waited ... till 3:15 PM and they didn't called my number. There were announcement
once by customer service that they are behind schedule 2 and half hours. Check with customer service desk and that's what happening. He asked to go to floor 2
and I will be called in shortly. Went to second floor and I make sure on customer service desk I wan on right floor and I am in queue. 3:45 my token was called. She
asked about to submit documents, did and she asked to wait again. I sit in area from where I can see here. Other then form she checked my pay slip and bank statement
and I believed she cross check transactions in my account.

After that she went to make photo copies and came back with a smile :) and asked that it will be 10 more minutes, around 4:20 PM after that she called me and handed
those documents. with news that I got my Extension :D

Document submitted

i) Application Forms + Photos + Passport
ii) Payslips
iii) Bank statement
iv) Employer Letter
v) Marriage Certificate I am pretty sure she didn't check that
vi) Child Birth Certificate
vii) Original Master Degree
viii) Original Transcript
ix) Cover Letter
x. Salary Break Down

Suggestion try to make it simple, And after bio-metric done, Make sure that you keep check with customer service desk. I am pretty sure that if I hadn't check with him
I might not got my chance today.

This post is entirely for PEO experience not for questions.

However i will answer your query.

J9 : You need to put the details of your company if you are employed

Address , Phone number

IF you are self employed:

Put details of some of your clients so they can check and verify. You can ask your clients in advance if they ok that you put their phone number on the form because you give out someone details without their consent.

Most of the people leave that section empty and still get the extension. My friends did that and they got extension successfully.

You need to put contact details of company and some one they can contact. I put my department head and make sure you spoke to that person if they
contact him. actually he signed my employment letter as well.

Hope my experience will guide others even when they secured only one person's appointment for Cardiff PEO but they considered dependents as a family (although then will give decision with-in 10 working days):

1. Current vignette : Tier 1 (General)
2. Appointment for: Tier-1 General - Extension (2nd)
3. Date of PEO Appointment : 01-Mar-2013 (got only 1 person appoint)
4. Number of dependants: 2 (took 2 dependents with me as family application)
5. Employment: Employed, Full time (Single job)
6. Payment mode : Credit Card
7. Name of PEO Applied : Cardiff
8: Approval letter: Received in post on 07-March-2013, dated 05-Mach-2013
9. BRP Received on: 08-March-2013 (start: 05/03/13, end: 05/03/2015)

Documents taken/submitted: (I fully marked them with post-it notes and also took all photocopies with me).

1. Salary slips covering 1st Jan 2012 to 31st Dec 2012
2. Bank statements covering 1st Jan 2012 to 31st Dec 2012
3. Savings account statement covering Aug 2013 to 11 Feb 2013 (more than 7 months, I know its not required but more is better )
4. Birth Certificate (for age points)
5. Marriage certificate for my spouse (2 - original and translation)
6. My son's birth certificate
7. All passports (old and new)
8. Existing valid BRPs

As a summary my experience was very good. I had appointment at 8:30AM. Reached there at 8:15AM and security persons was helpful and just let my family go with me (Cardiff PEO considers single appointment as family appointment this is what I confirmed over the phone earlier with them). Got the token and waited for around 30 minutes before getting first call by the person who looked at the forms and documents and asked some details from us. Then he mentioned that as he can see that only 1 appointment was allocated thus they will take up-to 10-working days to process the application and I asked him that can he make it quicker as we have flights booked for our holidays in 3-weeks time and then he marked our application as 5-working-days case and told us that I will hear from them by 8th March 2013 about my application decision or status. Then asked us to wait for biometric which happened in further 30 mins wait and then we were asked to go as application is a 5-days case.

We left PEO around 9:45AM and was waiting for their call till now but today received my approval letter and all documents back through post (details below), now waiting for BRP.

The appointment was scheduled for 11:45 but I reached at 10:50 and was allowed in. The payment, case registration and biometric were done by 11 but then had to wait till 2:15 for my number to be called by the case worker. The decision was made by 4:30 (after the PEO had closed) but it was worth the wait.
:)

BRP was delievered to my work address on 01-Mar-2013.
