Hi Team,
Good evening.. I am bit confused related to Rcos point allocation based on Salary.
Do they consider the base salary or total compensation (base+ variable pay) which does not include flexi components.
Suppose base salary is 48k and total compensation is 50k (base + variable pay note: flexi pay not jncluded).so, the eligible points would be 25 or 30 based on Salary.
Kindly guide me if anyone is able to assist then it would be great help.
Thanks

What I understand: 46 pt is anything <50k refused
I got this from weblink removed by moderator
It is a bit old but tght sharing.
Which states :
In January 2018, demand for Restricted Certificates of Sponsorship (“RCoS”) again exceeded the number available in the monthly quota. With only 1,651 CoS available, a large number of RCoS applications from licenced sponsors were refused.
In order to be successful in January 2018, RCoS applications needed to score a minimum of 46 points, meaning RCoS requests for salaries below £50,000 per annum were rejected.

CoS isnt really about you or your offer its about the position that the comany posted for 28 days and couldnt fill and thus are now looking internationally.
A company is supposed to advertise for 28 days and then apply for a COS Then select an international candidate and assign the COS to that candidate. Granted the number of people on this thread tends to indicate that it works differently in practice but being aware of how its setup to work should help to understand how to answer your question. In short its likely 48k. But its more about what the company listed at for the 28 days then what they are offering you.

Thank you Dauk for the update. That's really informative I got your point..so, if the company posted the job before 28 days with a higher salary like 50k plus then the Cos request will get 30 points for that then even they offer you less salary (around 48k) .
Please correct me if I am wrong.. sorry to bother you again.

There is not positive news from my research on Google. No news in today, I feel I am losing the hope, this month is the last time to attempt. 45points.. company will re apply on the market. But, it takes a long time and unhappy.. we are in the same boat and we are unlucky. I hope everyone will get a good news in this week..

You will get 75 points. Considering all is well with your RLMT, you should be fine don't worry.
Hi Friends, Quick follow-up question. I spoke to the Immigration firm just a while back. Apparently HO requested for some additional information and the deadline for submission was end of day 10. Though the law firm provided the information electronically before the deadline. The information didnt reach HO due to technical issues. However, the documents have been physically sent and received by HO today. In such situation, what are the chances of getting the RCOS this month?
Hello, may I ask you how did you know the documents didn't reach to HO? I got the same email and my HR has sent additional documents by 10th and haven't heard anything back yet.
I'm on shortage list, so I feel I should've heard something back last Friday.
Thanks!!
I called up the Law firm and they have updated me.
Thank you for your reply! My company applied for Sponsor license, CoS and all the paperwork by their own. They have done so much for me. We didn't hear anything back from HO after the email, so didn't know if the documents has reached or not. Today they called but HO only told us to wait till end of this week - (their email) it can take up to one week after May 11th for all applications to be processed and we should receive a notification either way.
Really hope things will go well.

you should be very hopeful at 60 ! the higher the cap got was to 60 on march and it was the month with the least quotas ! I can't see a reason why you don't get it if RLMT was done properly

did you call your law firm today ?
and keep in mind that this is just a forum. all the candidates are not here. so maybe it also depends on when your firm applied... but really you should be hopeful I am at only 50 and I have been waiting for this job since september due to other circumstances. I think the worst it can get this month is 55 regarding previous months and this is very pessimistic.
good luck to everyone !

It is not based on the salary range mentioned in the ad.
While applying CoS ur sponsor could have keyed in some number, that is final. 'Gross salary including any allowances and guaranteed bonuses'. so it all depends, how much ur sponsor keyed in.
however they cross check this number from the job ad too
Please check with them

All of you who are worried! I understand your feeling - I surpassed that experience.
However, please be patient. It is just the second working day past 11th. In my view you should start worrying only post 18th
for example, mine was 50 points and I heard on the 4th working day from 11th in Feb. I am sure most of the people in 60, 55, 50 range in the last 4 months heard only on 4th or 5th working day from 11th day
Hope you guys hold nerves
Good luck!

To those of you stressing out on 60+ points...Just because you didn’t hear anything today doesn’t mean you wont. It takes a long time, you need to be patient. Even if this is a bad month and the 60+ points miss out (very unlikely btw) you will still be in a box seat to get approved in the coming months over the majority of people here. Please keep that in mind that some people here have been waiting for 6 months and spare a thought.

Also to everyone using this thread to ask about their points and how RLMTs are done: this is NOT the thread for that. I know it seems like the easiest thing to do - expecting that your question will get answered faster in an active thread but that isn’t what this thread is for and the moderators have made it known that they will close them if they go off track which is what is happening with questions that have nothing to do with the May RCoS results.
People are very stressed about their results and it would be sad if the thread were closed because people were taking it off track with inappropriate questions...in some cases by people that haven’t even applied for their RCoS yet it seems.
Even if you do not want to start a thread with your questions: there is VERY detailed guidance on the GOV.uk website on how to calculate your points and it’s how everyone else here found out what points they were on. There is also very detailed guidance for employers on how to complete RLMT...not that you should even need to know this unless you are an employer.

Anyone knows that the experience of rejection affect to next attempt?
My friend asked to me whether the experience of rejection is unhelpful for next attempt or not.
It made me confused.

You don't really get a "rejection" of COS. Each month companies apply for permission the top X number is approved based on the categories they fall into. Next month the process repeats with a new set of applications and a new number of available Certificates.
Rejection of Visa is different but that only happens after the company has gotten a COS and applied that COS to a specific applicant and that applicant then applies for a Visa that gets accepted or rejected and yes that rejection can effect future visa applications since a Visa is "rejected" for cause and that cause will need to be addressed before future applications will be approved.
This being said if a company messes up their COS application, Lies on it etc. it might get rejected but that rejection effects the Company not you personnally
