My wife applied for settlement visa on but she has not heard anything useful back. I am wondering when will she be able to escalate the case to get the exact status of her application and when likely she can hear back for her application? I calculated the weeks and 12 weeks will be over on 28th April 2015.

Here is the timeline:

Type: Settlement
Application and Biometrics at Lahore: 30 Jan 2015
Received at BHC-ISB: 3 Feb 2015
First update: 4-03-2015: waiting to be assessed by ECO
Second update: 16-03-2015: waiting to be assessed by ECO
Third update: 29-03-2015: She asked to escalate the case but got a reply that its still in time scale and waiting to be assessed by ECO

Any input will be appreciated. Thanks!
I escalated mine yesterday after the 2 month mark via the update form. as when i had phoned them the week before and asked if they could escalate it they said they cant do it over the phone.

They also refused me not providing the property inspection report. They overturned the refusal when i appealed against that. You should submit appeal with the inspection report. Inshallah in 2 months you wil hear the good news. This is very simple. Dont involve any solicitor, because they wil just charge the money.Dont re apply because your decision will be overturned on the appeal.

Khan2013,
Thank you so much for your reply. I can't tell you how relieved I am to hear that. We have decided to appeal - at least this way I have my passport and can meet my husband somewhere. Haven't seen him in more than 3 months :(
I appreciate your response :)

Thanks sean. How come have you escalated your case after two months? I thought it is 12 weeks before one can escalate their case.

I did cause after 2 months when i asked for an update i received a reply stating that there are no current updates this could be due to the fact that your application was recently submitted or you provided incorrect details. And then about a week later when i phoned them they said that it hasnt been assessed by an ECO yet. 90% of applications from Karachi are processed within 60 days according to gov.uk and alot of people on this forum have escalated their cases within 60 days so i thought I would try my luck.

Why didn't you provide any chat or call logs?

Which other proofs did you provide?

What was your timeline?
TIMELINE

Spouse Visa (Entry Clearance) granted on 20-02-15
FLR-M (Extension) granted on 24-08-17
ILR (SET-M) not due until 2020

Sajj79 I would appeal as this is a minor reason, go straight to your Mp and they will right a letter to the home office and the tribunal. you should be able to sort this issue fairly quick without reapplying. look at this forum as it mainly got people how have got rejected. www.spammer.com/uk-discussion-f ... tan/page/1

You can also submit a application at the same time if you want. that is what i would do to keep more then one egg in the basket

All the best.

I note that you have provided the evidence; this was evidence with the way of photograph and marriage certificate. I am required to satisfy the all aspect of the immigration rules is met. I must also satisfy the relationship is genuine. I would expect a contact of prior to marriage exist however application consist minimal evidence of contact. Evidence may take telephonic conversation, exchange of cards, post marriage visit etc. there is no specified evidence that must be submitted. However what must be demonstrated is a genuine and ongoing relationship. On accessing your application I have the following concern, you did not submit skype calls log, you did not submit Whatsapp txt history, you did not submit the facebook chat history.
I therefore not satisfied your relationship is genuine and subsiting.

He gave me right to appeal and explain that it may be resolved at review stage.

As per my last post I forgot to put this information on and its all available i.e facebook chat, card delivered from UK on valenines day. Hotel booked after marriage, tickets to Karachi after marriage, etc

Please advice shall I appeal or do a fresh application.

Submit your appeal from UK, you can do it online and then post all the required evidence to relevant tribunal. Include different modes of communication i.e skype, whatsapp, etc dont just rely on facebook chats, also make sure yu include enough evidence to show a continuous period from marraige till application time.
May Allah swt make it easy for us all

From now till begining of may, you have plenty of time. Why not just do a fresh tb test?

There is no email address for an escalation, You need to fill the same updates request form with the following info in the 'Question' Box:

Type of escalation: settlement
Date of birth
gwf number
Location of vaf
Date of biometrics
Full name
type of visa:settlement
Passport number
nationality
Country of application
brief reason of escalation

Hope this helps
