hmm i submitted a few weeks before you and havent received my bio. yet again stronger reason to believe applications arent processed by submission dates. Its either that or seperate categories in FLR(O) are placed in seperate queues

@Elisha47

As you know it took my wife 13 months to get her extension(new application)
based on the fact that i'm British and so is our child. Your timeline is about the same now so fingers crossed you will hear something this month or early March...

My wife has sent her application off a couple of weeks ago for a BRP and is now waiting for a letter to tell her to get her biometrics done. Hopefully this won't take as long!!

I applied on de basis of my british wife and kids.
i was on a valid student visa at the time of application.
we only went for flr(0) instead of flr(m) cos my wife
could only provide 4 months paylips.
so went for the 10 yrs family route.

oh ook. well i applied for partner. as i and my wife could only apply for flro instead of flrm becasue of 3 months payslips combined. i was also on a valid student visa which i applied before it expired. and its only when both salaries are combined thats when we meet 1550 a month. and i was able to work since i had finished my course officially so yeah i applied based on partner and combined both og my salary and my wifes as well. good luck to you and hope you get yours soon. i called last week and i was told mine is not yet on their system so i should be patient and wait foor my bio letter. well it alsomeans you have got your visa right becasue for them to send you a biometric letter means your application has been considered. the reason is becasue i also rang them some time back and i was told well they only issue biometrics only after your application has been considered so congrats in advance..

still waiting

Post by smatts07 » Mon Feb 25, 2013 11:30 am

Hi Everyone, I've just gone through the most recent posts and thought i'd share mine.
I applied for the FLR(O) app on the basis of having a child in the UK.
I am married to my British husband and our son was born here in the UK. I felt like my application should be an easy one. I'm American so I speak English and I have a college degree. I am not here to live on benefits.

App Received: 10 Sept 2012
I received my ACK letter the next week.
Bio letter: 14 Feb 2013.
Bio completed 18 feb 2013

no other contact as of yet.
After it was in the news about all the backlog applications, it was about 3 weeks later that i received my bio letter.. so hopefully thats them getting a move on things.

One of my biggest concerns is that I had moved the beginning of November, and I filled out the change of address form online IN NOVEMBER and received an email confirmation of it.... I received my Biometrics letter by pure luck as it was sent to my old address. And the person that received my letter is a family friend, who is moving in a few days and I worry that if anything else is sent there I won't receive it.
I have wrote a letter explaining my change of address after that, as well as tried to write an email. Calling the UKBA is near enough impossible. So all i can do is really hope that they realize what address to send my documents in.
The UKBA needs to change their wait times on their website... because 75% made in 4 weeks is BS
Good luck to everyone else!!

Hi all,

Does getting a Bio mean your case has been allocated to a case worker or is it another step prior to it being assigned to someone?

Happy to see more people getting thier bios.

Hi Sanny26,

At the time of your application did you have a valid visa or stay?

Here is a reply i got from the MP's office today. Hoping it will help someone.

Dear xxxxxx,

I have received a standard reply from the Home Office stating your case is currently awaiting allocation to a case worker. Unless there is any new compassionate and compelling information that is documented and that the Home Office are not aware of we are unable to request your case is treated urgently.

Kind Regards

I just wanted to point out that i have already done the bio since feb 14 but i am surprised that my case is still waiting to be allocated to a caseworker. :(
