Guys,
When you ask for an update using their email procedure. When you input application reference number,
Do you input starting GWF or just the 9 digit numbers?
Thanks

Email them advising them you was asked to provide details and the case will be esclated and state that it has been over 5 working days. (Their guidelines state an escalation update should take no longer than 5 working days)
They then should be in touch with a rapid response of some sort I A

Salam Brother,

Put in the entire number with GWF letters in it. If it comes with updates not found then I suggest you should call them. My brother had to do the same as well. He applied on the 20th April and In the first couple of emails they said they couldn't find any updates. Once my brother called them up the lady over the phone confirmed that it has gone through the initial pre-assessment stage and waiting in a queue. However, my brother emailed again yesterday to which he got a reply saying "the application still needs to be assessed by an ECO". My advise will be to call them up as they will give you the true status, although it is costly to call them :(

I agree and I suggest also have details to hand as this will allow you to keep the call as quick as possible ..

Applicant full name
Date of birth of applicant
GWF number
Date of biometrics (submission)
If they require to escalate they will also ask for
Applicant passport number
Location of where file was submitted

Dear Sajjaduk,

I pray that your wait ends soon and that all goes well for you. I was in the process of filling out the online application form and require your guidance on the following points please

PASSPORT TRAVEL AND INFORMATION
How long do you intend to stay in the UK? Settlement

What is the main address and contact details of where you will be staying whilst in the UK? I will be moving to a different accommodation so will give that address but Primary Contact number? Will it be my mobile number?

FAMILY DETAILS
I understand they have asked for Sponsor’s details? However, little confused whether I need to fill in Applicant’s Father/Mother details or Sponsor’s?

EMPLOYMENT
What is your current working Status? I have selected ‘Supported by Spouse’ – Do I need to attach Remittance advice showing I have been supporting my wife?

Thank you for help brother.

This would be 2.5 years as your first visa will be for 33 months after which you will apply for FLR

What is the main address and contact details of where you will be staying whilst in the UK? I will be moving to a different accommodation so will give that address but Primary Contact number? Will it be my mobile number?

The primary contact number if it's asking for UK will be sponsors as you're not in the uk at the moment

FAMILY DETAILS
I understand they have asked for Sponsor’s details? However, little confused whether I need to fill in Applicant’s Father/Mother details or Sponsor’s?

Under section partner details it asks for applicants parents details and not the sponsors

EMPLOYMENT
What is your current working Status? I have selected ‘Supported by Spouse’ – Do I need to attach Remittance advice showing I have been supporting my wife?

Yes attach Remittance slips showing how you have been supported

Thank you for help brother

OK SO I AMEND AS 2.5 YEARS AND NOT SETTLEMENT
What is the main address and contact details of where you will be staying whilst in the UK? I will be moving to a different accommodation so will give that address but Primary Contact number? Will it be my mobile number?

The primary contact number if it's asking for UK will be sponsors as you're not in the uk at the moment
NO, I AM THE SPONSOR AND I’M IN THE UK SO I IT’S MY NUMBER
FAMILY DETAILS
I understand they have asked for Sponsor’s details? However, little confused whether I need to fill in Applicant’s Father/Mother details or Sponsor’s?

Under section partner details it asks for applicants parents details and not the sponsors
OK, BUT ON THE SAME SECTION BEFORE THE PARENTS DETAILS THEY ASK FOR SPOUSE/PARTNER DETAILS – ARE THEY ASKING FOR APPLICANTS DETAILS? (MY WIFE) OR MY DETAILS (SPONSOR)
EMPLOYMENT
What is your current working Status? I have selected ‘Supported by Spouse’ – Do I need to attach Remittance advice showing I have been supporting my wife?

Yes attach Remittance slips showing how you have been supported
I AM THE SPONSOR, MY WIFE IS AN APPLICANT – YES SURE I WILL DO THAT

They said the same when I enquired about my wife's application. But the same day I escalated my enquiry and got a reply back the next day saying it's been Concluded. The rest is in my timeline below.
TIMELINE

Spouse Visa (Entry Clearance) granted on 20-02-15
FLR-M (Extension) granted on 24-08-17
ILR (SET-M) not due until 2020

For those who don't understand the new procedure which will commence from 6th July, I will try and explain in plain English.
ANY application submitted online after 6th July( not before), will mean that all supporting documents ( except the applicants passport only) will now be posted by the sponsor to Sheffield office ( instead of to the applicant for them to hand it into Gerry's). This will mean that any documents that the applicant has like his TB test , English test, photos etc or any other documents they may have in their possession relevant to the application will have to be sent to the UK so sponsor can attach it with documents to be sent to Sheffield.
If the visa is issued, it will be issued in Pakistan by the BHC in the applicants passport, which will be returned to them after visa is stamped. The rest of te document will be returned to the sponsor in te UK.
All previous requirement and documents will still have to be provided
