Hi Vkumar,
I have come across your post in this forum. But did not see any update when you received visitor visa for your parents? Hope you have received it. I am in the same situation, my parents have applied for UK general visitor visa on 4th July, 2013 from Kolkata. But still now we have not received any update on the status. Their planned date to travel is 9th August, 2013. Can you please let me know whom did you drop the mail to VFS and also did you receive any reply from them?
I am feeling very helpless, not sure whom to call or contact for getting any response? Any response from you will be really helpful.
Thanks...

Hi My mother-in-law applied on 27th September and yet to get a reply. I emailed BHC yesterday got a reply this morning saying it takes 15 working days at the moment and they ask me to email again if we didn't hear within that time frame.

Hi All,
My parents have got their visa today. It took exactly 15 working days.
They applied on 25th September in Chennai VFS in person.
All the best for the others waiting for their visa.
