Hi seagul,CR001
Problem with (previous 12 months employment) is that i was self employed and that activity is not active by the time to do application in 2 weeks.
Have a look on this reply below from solicitor and advise me if you can.Bear in mind my self employment finished in November last year and I did earn above £18600.
Many thanks for coming back to me and for waiting for my reply. As you know, I would be pleased to assist you with your application to switch from the 10 year route to the 5 year route. Given that you earned £18,600 gross or above in the last tax year it sounds as though you will meet the FLR(M) financial requirement so I can’t see any reason why you could not make a successful switch, assuming that you and your partner have lived together for at least the last 2 years. The main thing about the financial requirement is your earnings in the last full financial year; it doesn’t matter if you have not met the financial requirement since then. We don’t have to show that you have been in employment for 6 months immediately prior to your application; we will rely on the fact that you earned enough through self-employment in the last full financial year.
