Yes there are. And believe it or not there are still many whites in Zimbabwe who have been there for generations (sometimes as much as 5 or 6) and who ONLY hold the citizenship of Zimbabwe and have no claim to a UK ancestry visa because they've been in Zimbabwe for so long.

The same goes for white people from South Africa (I am one of them). Although in South Africa's case white people have been there even longer since 1652.
In a few years time we'll look back on immigration control like we look back on American prohibition in the thirties - futile and counter-productive.

Absolute rubbish, I am from Zimbabwe and there are equal numbers of all races who get working holiday visas, I know of people arriving in the UK on a regular basis from Zimbabwe on working holiday visas who are not white.
I know this all sounds rather cynical but I'm afraid these are the facts on the ground. The inclusion of Zimbabwe on Schedule 3 does not help ordinary Zimbabweans who are mainly black (and therefore have no claim to British ancestry) and poor (and therefore cannot obtain a working holiday visa).
Personally being included on schedule 3 allows me certain privelages which I am glad to have in the UK, including voting in parliamentary elections and getting certain tax breaks which I would never have got if I hadn't been a commonwealth citizen.

And yes to the other poster who asked if there are a lot of white people left in Zimbabwe. Not all white people in Zimbabwe own farms!!!

Just out of curiosity, what tax breaks do Commonwealth citizens get in the UK that other people don't?

1. Personal allowances for non-residents
2. taxation on remittance basis for non-uk source income regardless of domicile if you are non-uk ordinarily resident.
