Nothing yet, although mine is Parent Route,
3rd extension.

2nd Extension expired third week in Feb.
Fee waiver Applied second week In Feb.
Further evidence requested twice and was later granted end of May.
I applied first week in April and I went for my biometrics on the 6th.
I was asked to submit further evidence before end of April a GP letter to show the children lives at the same address as me, they did not accept the Tenancy Agreement I went with only school letters or GP letter to I asked for that privately and paid £25 to the GP, and that was scanned to them following week.
Fingers crossed.
I think it takes about 5-6months now.
So by Sept/Oct maybe.

Hello,

If an application for a fee waiver is taking 2 months, would you consider it to be normal?

Is there any email address or contact for the HO in order to get some sort of update on it?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you

I applied for fee waiver in January 2022 and having had no response two months later I sent an email and got a reply the following day. Give it a try, email the team but make sure you include your fee waiver application reference number:

fhr9destitutionqueries@homeoffice.gov.uk

Best of luck.

We done our biometrics on the 10/10/2022 and still pending. We have chased then on several occasions but got the same response that our application has no time scale.Got MP to chase them and still the same response. They said they can only expedite our application incase of the death of a relative or a sick relative where the is a need to travel urgently. They will need proof of death or letter from a doctor stating the condition of the sick relative and you also have to prove you are related

I just don't understand the long delay. Surely it shouldn't take 10 to 11 months to make a decision. Hopefully we get an answer soon as the wait has not being easy. I'm so tired at this point.

Hi @ i2siss,

Nope, no additional documents have been requested. It's been radio silence ever since. I've been suspecting that one of the factor for the delay, might be due to the fact that i applied for a fee waiver. Are you in the same situation?

Hi Pam_ieee,

My partner is in the same situation. She received an email two weeks ago asking her for some documents. She provided them promptly but she is still impatiently waiting! We thought that since they asked for further documents they will decide right after receiving the documents but it is not the case so far.

We also applied with a fee waiver in October 4th 2022and no response since except the usual generic response of your application has no time scale.
It could be because of the fee waiver element.Hopefully we will hear from them soon
Fingers crossed
