Then your points would be 46 right. at 50k salary. People with 50 points are getting through
• £50,000 – £54,999.99 : 30 points
advert - 20 points
For RLMT you get 21 points

hi

I hope points will be calculated on this basis . So 50 k would be 20 + 26 = 46

£50,000 – £54,999.99 : 30 points
• £45,000 – £49,999.99 : 25 points

49k - 25pts
50 k - 26 pts
51- - 27

55k - 30 pts
I did not know about the above calculation. It looks like then the cutoff was 46 points.

Refused at 44 points today, so maybe the safe zone should be >=45

I've always understood that only full salary buckets get approved / disapproved.
Could people who were unfortunately refused at 50 please share the reason?

Seems simple, cut off at 50 points, but not all 50s are approved (essentially cut halfway through). thats my thory
It doesn't work that way, it's either all the applicants get approval for the same score or all of them refused and the remaining certificates get carried over to next month.

See my recent post:
looking at the posts, it seems the cut-off is either 46 or 50:
50 - If all the applicants with 50 scores have been approved either from the remaining certificates available or by borrowing upto 100 certificates from May
46 - If all the applicants with 50 scores have been approved, but the entire lot of applicants at 45 score have not been accommodated from the remaining available certificates even after borrowing 100 certificates from May, so the entire lot of 45 has to be refused. And in that case, the remaining certificates will be carried over to the next month.

Which again would be filled by shortage occupation /phd level roles

yeah, that's the irony!

last month, 67 certificates were unused and wasted due to this rule, as it was the last month of the year. There are hundreds of applicants/employers are struggling, so each certificate is someone's life. Wasting 67 certificates during such crisis is like there's water shortage with people dying thirsty and some super power throws away hundreds of litres of water because the water is not sufficient for all the thirsty people !!

Isn't it weird??

These carried over certificates from last 4-5 months have been used by the first time applicants who are either on shortage or PhD or employed by some London based employer or a worthy employer who can afford to pay double to get RCoS, even though the appropriate salary for that role is far less than what they have offered !!

This is causing infinite waiting for those applying with 21 to 45 points for last 4-5 months! They don't even get priority, and the new ones taking away RCoS during first attempt by hiking salary to get it!!

Just got approved with 50 points, but I did not meet the points requirement, this is why some are getting in at 50 and others aren't.

3412 Authors, writers and translators with a salary of £50k

It's very strange, I thought I wasn't going to get it based on the refusals but clearly they are splitting the 50 points and letting some in and others not.

I’m not sure this is the case. I’m at the very bottom of the 50 point band with 50k salary and mine was approved. Is there any other way the applications could be ranked, e.g. big sponsors?

50k is real confusing. By the book, HO has to either accept all 50k group or none. They cannot pick and chose some

The only way some 50k's are getting approval and some aren't is if those that are getting approved are being granted their RCOS exceptionally outside of the monthly quota

Ture, thise few approvals with 50 points could be Approved exceptionally outside monthly allocation

Which also mean the cutoff this month is again 55

Can you please check and share if your employer had sent a request to Home Office to consider your application outside of the monthly allocation process and if so, based on which grounds?
