Yes, rang them today. First time call was disconnected while I was waiting. But it went through to an agent 2nd time. Below is the jist of conversation:

me : Just wanted to know the status of my application?
Mary : It has been sent to the Minister for a decision.
me : could you please tell me when it was sent to the Minister?
Mary : a few weeks back
me : could you please tell me when can I expect the decision?
Mary : in a few weeks time

LMAO
I rang them today and I received the same answers as you had, and she said that she couldn't tell me when the decision is expected as the whole batch gone to Minister

End of the Battle

Post by nd2011 » Thu May 19, 2011 7:49 pm

Hi Lads,

The battle is finally over. The long awaited Naturalization Certificate finally arrived at my door-step this morning ...Thank God and Thanks to all members of this forum for your immense advise and courage; it was not an easy battle and I am just wandering what I could have done without you all. I am really grateful and I ask the Almighty Merciful God to grant every member of this forum his or her heart desires.
For those who may be interested:

Approval or Yellow Form was received from inis on 24-March-2011;
The oath was taken next day in Cork and posted to inis with all the requirements same day;
Acknowledgement was received on the 7th of April, 2011 from inis; and
Cert. finally arrived today.
Total waiting time is approximately 8 weeks.

Once again Goodluck to all those waiting ...I wish you all the very best. Bye! :)

nd2011 and HOTSPURS congratz.

So have you applied for your passeport already ???

Ensure that when you apply, you include all the document they request to avoid delay...AND THE BEST WAY TO DO IT, GO TO THE PASSEPORT OFFICE IN PERSON.

*** Bring your current passeport as well
*** At least 2 proof of addresses
*** Recent Payslips
*** Recent Bank Statement
*** And don't forget the photos and form signed by GARDA.
etc...

Enjoy the summer travelling places visa free....:)- tell us your experience.

HI folks, the inconsistency in replies from INIS drives me crazy. I called Tipperary yesterday to ask "what's the crack" to find out my file was sent to the minister on the 29th April, not the 10th as previously said! The lady was very talkative, said that the earliest I get a response is the first week of July.
More to wait....

Nd2011 and HOTSPURS congrats again ,the train is surely moving.

Nanette unfortunately am not travelling around yet waiting for my wife to get her own passport too,then the travelling will be more fulfilling..

Meanwhile a colleague at work who applied in March 09 got his approval today..
