39.18 When you assign a CoS to extend a migrant’s leave in the same tier and category, the start date on the CoS should be the day after their current leave expires.
So basically we have to wait until 3 months of visa expiry and then apply for visa extension. Is my understanding correct ?
For code 3538(that applies to me) Min salary changed to £24700 from 6 April onward right??manci wrote:@DBK
you will be eligible for ILR in Feb 17. The requirements are here:
https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... e-life.pdf
If your sponsor assigns the next CoS for 3 years you can apply now or shortly before your current leave expires, it makes no difference when because even if you applied now a 3 year extension would take you beyond Feb 17. The fee goes up from £578 to £601 on 6 April. Note that CoSs are only valid for 3 months.
Your previous job SOC code (1152) has been split into two as of last April: 3538 (financial accounts managers) and 4161 (office manager). For the former you would need a min. salary of £27,600, for the latter £21,800) - both are for a 39 hour week and for experienced workers. You are no longer entitled to the new entrant rate which was applicable last time because then you switched from T1 PSW. Assuming you are still doing the same job your sponsor, not you, has to choose which of the two SOC codes to use.

I am looking to extend my T2 visa
I know you told in several places that we can apply any time prior to expiry of current visa, I am arguing this point with my solicitor and he is not letting me to extend my visa, can you please provide me or let me know where can I find the information you told, so that I can prove it him
difficult to prove a negative - there is no rule that prohibits an extension application any time during the validity of a T2 visa with a new CoS. Yo
Thanks

Could you please help me out with these question as i am bit confused and not sure what to do
1- I am on TIER-2 issued back in January 2013 expiring on february 2016 and now like to extend further not sure if i can apply early for extension ten months before or how early i can apply as i need to have extension as early as possible.
2- Secondly would that further extension would be for 2 years or 3 years?
3- If suppose two years would that be extended further after february 2016 and will expire in february 2018?
you can extend your leave at any time with a new CoS but why do so if you still have 10 months leave?
Your new leave will be to the work end date stated in the CoS + 14 days or 6 years from the start date of your initial T2G visa, whichever is sooner.
Anyone can please help me out
