General discussion after BC and Passport application

Sounds like an excuse.
Try a different approach. Call again tomorrow and tell them that you were told to call again today as they should be able to locate your passport and send it back to you.
It such a chaos over there, they might take your word for it and actually react and do something.
Worth a try.

Hi guys

Update on my case (submitted via NCS on 18 May):

Finally weakened and made my first call to UKBA today. Told that decision has been made and letter sent out yesterday. Hopefully this is good news....

Guys...I just called today...and was told that my application was completed/decision was taken yesterday and i will receive a letter within next seven days...

That's up to you Sidra, but I don't think a polite phone call would do any harm. I said "I just wanted to check that nothing had gone missing in the post".

Plenty of people on here do say that the call centre is very unhelpful, of course

thanks gc123, pk...i hope so...and my application reached HO on 17th May.

I unnecessarily spent 5 pounds to send a next day delivery letter to HO regarding my change of job...but at least the wait finished now..but a game of different applications starts now

Naziz88 yes sure..your decision is around the corner...and ofcourse all the wishes are with you..just dont belive the call advisor if you call them again....i called them on Monday and it was waiting in a queue and the decision made on wed..if this is true it means the checks and everything is load of BS....its just matter of case worker opening the file...

Guys, when you contact UKBA and they say "awaiting allocation", did they say "in queue" at all or anything other than a simple "awaiting allocation"? I'm just trying to find a pattern here...
