I wanted to use the EPRS as I needed my passport to travel, so I decided to apply with my wife for a new card, stating change of name as the reason for her application.
I applied a month before my 5 years permanent residence qualification. My current EEA2 residence card expires on 24 March 2019, date of wedding in the UK 6 January 2014.
