I email the UKVI contact centre to be updated about my application..."still awaiting a decision".

A few days after, I called..and IT WAS EXACTLY THE DUDE WHO REPLIED MY EMAIL.

Guess what was the reply "still awaiting a decision"...

damn...
When was your biometric and is it priority

biometric 6 august, and yes it was priority

You're still only on 16 working days. My decision was made on the 19th working day and we were notified on the 22nd working day.

If everything was in order, you'll get a decision by next week probably.

If you look at the timelines, it’s more common that a decision will be made between 25-30WD.

To manage your expectations marsupilami and providing your case is “straight forward”, then you will likely to have a decision between 10/9-17/9. This is more realistic.

Application Type: Settlement, Fiancé
Application Date: 26 June 2019
Decision Date: 29 August 2019
Decision: Granted

Application Type: FLR(M)
Application Date: 23 October 2019
Decision Date: 28 October 2019
Decision: Granted

Hello,
does anybody know if below can delay decision on spouse visa application :
1) Applying with keeping passport service,
2) Applying from a residance country different from home country ,
3) sponser changing work during last 12 months from self-employed/director to fully employed

Applying from: Jamaica
Type of visa applied for: Spouse & Child Settlement (both priority)
Date application submitted: 17 June 2019
Date bio-metrics taken: 4 July 2019
Documents sent to Sheffield: 5 July 2019
Documents received at Sheffield: 11 July 2019
Documents returned:
ECO email: 15 July 2019
Decision made email:
Any updates??

I sent an email asking for escalation on my 30th working day which was 15/08/2019 detailing all necessary information. Just received an email reply 18/08/2019, asking for the same information in my initial email :? (GWF, Name, IHS No etc).

:x
Email received on 23 August 2019 (day 36 of priority service)

We are continuing to work on the above applications which are currently awaiting an assessment to be completed. We are unable to provide any timescales as to when a decision will be made however you will be contacted once decisions have been concluded on your applications

Is this a generic email to fob me off some more?
My husband made application same date as yours Jamaica

Application :17 June non priority
Biometric :4 July
Document: self uploaded VFS online
Eco email: 22july nothing after that...

Sponsor contacted: no
Employer contacted: I doubt it
Decision: still waiting..

They may have sent you that to buy more time and keep you quiet...I doubt they will look at any application from Jamaica swiftly unless they are not busy🙄 we tend to be placed at the back of the queue.

30/08/2019 another email:

Thank you for your enquiry.

As advised in our previous e-mail ,we are continuing to work on the above applications which are currently awaiting an assessment to be completed. We are unable to provide any timescales as to when a decision will be made however you will be contacted once decisions have been concluded on your applications.

Payment for Priority Service, means the application will be placed in front of the queue and assessed ahead of other non-priority visa applications others but it may still take up to 12 weeks to conclude if we require further checks on the application. Your applications are still within the service standard for non -priority settlement applications" .

However, they ended the email with "Please email visasheffield@homeoffice.gov.uk with the required information, ensuring the subject header contains Contact Centre enquiry: GWFXXXXXXXXX"

I have checked the GWF number and it is the correct number for my Husbands application, however, as you can see from the email above, they have not requested more information from me. So confused!!

You’re unlikely to hear anything before 60WD and you will have no indication as to whether your application has been successful or not. You’ll only know when you collect your passport.

Application Type: Settlement, Fiancé
Application Date: 26 June 2019
Decision Date: 29 August 2019
Decision: Granted

Application Type: FLR(M)
Application Date: 23 October 2019

My biometrics were 1 week after you and still waiting too.
Some people receive decision letters attached to the email . But seems to be very rare .
Also some people do not even receive the decision email and has to call ukvi call center to have update . Again not very commun but happens .
Keep tight ! Hope you ll hear soon !

Thought I would jump in on this one as I have just found this forum and can see many others around the world waiting. Currently on WD 51 having called the really (un)useful call centre for an extortionate price they told me they had to make a decision by 6th September. If not we can escalate it. What happens remains to be seen!

We originally applied back in February on the 6 month marriage visa. it got declined in April - Lack of evidence. We were destroyed! We sought some legal advice and got some help from a solicitor as not to mess it up after being bitten by it the first time! So here we are 7 months later.
My wife is starting to get itchy feet and I am starting to get agitated myself.
Many others are in worse situations that ourselves so I send best wishes to everyone. I do not think anyone knows stress until they attempt a settlement visa for the UK.

Hang in there guys!
what evidence where lacking that make them turn your application down if you don't mind me asking?

Update!
Called the expensive phone number this morning and was told that a decision has been made. I am now frantically trying to get hold of my solicitor and trying to remain calm. 56 Working days so far. Trying to find out what the solicitor knows emails wise. Still don't have the passport yet.
Everything crossed and feeling slightly sick!

I messed up some of the finance documents that we needed. We also did not submit enough proof of relationship. Our solicitor said that getting the Fiancee Visa is not easy as they try and restrict it as much as possible. They prefer an actual marriage certificate to show as proof that there is nothing untoward.
