No it’s not like that,I trust allah swt a lot and I have hope, but sometimes u want to know something that put things in ur mind. I work with family business with my brother in a take away restaurant. And I need to provide 12 months bank statements and 12 months payslips which I did, and all the company documents which Some of them was not even ready. and I used solicitor, when My solicitor was applying on the 11th December 2019 for my husband I been told on the same day that I need 12 months bank statements and payslips and all the company documents and by then I was shocked cuz I didn’t know I need to provide all of them, I thought they need only 6 months, thanks to Allah that a month before my brother submitted company and vat tax return other wise it would have taken long time. And I was worry cuz my December pay was paid on the 4 January 2019 in cash as I was going for my wedding to Afghanistan on the 7th. As home Office do need That u must be paid in to ur bank account. And second thing is in April and may when tax code was change my brother was not aware of it and he paid me the same he used to pay before April, but he paid me 12 pounds less then the payslip show, and as I heard many had these mistake and they been rejected. This amount was paid back to me and I explained in a latter my brother has also explained that this error was made by him. I did provide dec 2020 payslip that was dated on 30 dec and statement that was dated on the 3rd of January 2020. Which bring it to 13 months bank statement and 13 months payslips.some one told me on this website that this bank statement and payslip will not be considered as they are dated after application submitted date. That’s why it really worry’s me soo much ... but now only one that I have trust in is ALLAH and if my husband case got excepted it’s would be really unbelievable.Because financial requirements MUST be as clear as possible for home Office. That’s why I was to know that’s how things gone work and it’s good to know about something u don’t know. So I can tell those how don’t even know how it works.
Thank you 😊
Hi Alina,

Did you apply as a director of a limited company? Or as a employee?
I don’t know I was applying in July 2019 and when I ask a solicitor he told me that u need to submit 12 months not 6 months, and he told me to wait till November so ur brother company can summit tax return. Then u can apply he said if u didn’t submitted 12 months and all company documents that’s required the it will definitely get rejected. I said okay but then my brother said that we will look for another solicitor I pad this solicitor 400 pounds already but then had to choose another. Who was a lady at first she didn’t told me u need to submit 12 months documents may be she didn’t know I work with family. But when I went to see her on the 11 dec 2019 to submit the application she said if u work with family u need to provide the same documents as if u was the director of the limited company, soo hard for me to hear the same thing the other solicitor told me, she said she will submit the application today, and give us some days to bring all the company documents, and then we send all of the documents to her on the 1st January 2020.
Need lots prayers🤲🏻😔
Okay that's very interesting. I don't know why you need to submit the same documents as a director of a limited company just because you work for family. I have my own company so I applied as a director and it was the most painful experience of my life. The amount of documents that were required were ridiculous. All we can do is pray and wait. Hopefully you will get a positive outcome.
Exactly that’s how I was thinking it’s more hard if u are employee and u don’t share any dividends etc but still u need all this documents. True all I can do is trust in Allah. Thank you noshr67

Me and ms1993 have been waiting for over a month since our interviews so literally can't tell what the delay is
Oh😞 it's only been a few days since I recieved the phone call from HO. Also, does anybody know if you recieve a phonecall because they suspect something suspicious or is it just random?
I feel 4 u hun
And for ms1993

And literally cannot understand what the delay is especially after the phone call.. what could possibly take so long on making a decision

On thos forum
Spouse visa applications Pakistan timelines only there is someone called mac_ who posted saying he got a phone call on 17th january which went well and he was asked lots of questions about his mrs and work and was also told a decision would be made on his application either that same day or the following week

Seems like it's all down to luck
Since you got your good news and we're 2 WD apart and priority, we decided to email HO last Friday to ask about our application status, we got a reply nearly straightaway saying awaiting decision n still with the caseworker 😔
Why dont u escalate the case? Ask them what the delay is

It hasn’t been 15 working days yet. It’s strange how some people get a reply within 2 weeks and some don’t even receive a response for months on end. I expected them to contact me after the phone call but nothing. I guess every case is different. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ Noshr- does your husband have to travel to the UK within a month? X
Yes he does
Decision was made 15th jan
He recieved email 16th jan
Collected passport 17 jan

His visa starts from 22 jan to 21 feb

I got an email today from HO stating the below, I also got a VAF number in the subject email, not sure what to make of all of this :(

Thank you for applying for a UK visa. Your visa application has been received and is under consideration. We aim to process non settlement applications within 15 working days (unless you have opted for the Priority Visa service), and settlement applications within 60 working days.

Unfortunately, the processing of your application has not been straightforward and we will be unable to decide your application within our customer service targets. We are continuing to work on your application and aim to make a decision as soon as possible.

We will write to you again if there is any change to this. Please do not attend the Visa Application Centre until you have been advised that your application has been decided and that your passport is ready for collection.

Kind Regards,

Yes, it was. I paid for priority service.

I really hope that I get a decision soon. I am really upset to see that I received this type of email rather than a collection email for the passport.

congratulations that’s great news, hopefully he will be with you soon!

Priority service all depends on luck, I think once you receive the “not straightforward email” i wouldn’t expect a fast reply from the HO. It is sad when you receive that email, but i feel like the less you expect from the home office the better. I wouldn’t expect anything from them... the more you worry the more anxious you will get and HO are not great with communication. They will give you little to no communication (unless a decision has been made or they need further documents)

Best to just wait and stay busy to avoid thinking about it too much.

Yeah exactly, you've said it best. The more you think about it, the more difficult it will be. I have been thinking about it too much and its impacting my day to day life. I'm nearly on working day 14 now and had absolutely no response from HO. I think in the end they will send a case not straightforward email. The wait is very difficult.

But there's others who recieved not straight forward email and are still waiting months after it so dependa on each case

I would not worry if it has only been 14 days. I applied on priority and it’s been 70 something days I’ve stopped counting.

It is a very difficult time and naturally as humans we plan and plan and this whole applications tenure is very difficult. You can’t plan anything which makes life difficult. we have a family wedding soon In another country and I am unable to plan whether I can attend or not as it all depends if my husband gets his visa or not and whether it gets accepted etc etc etc. if only the home office knew how difficult they make our life🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️ I’m sure they have plenty of cases to get through but don’t offer a service that you know you can’t adhere too.. or give the applicants more communication so they don’t feel that £600 Is a complete waste of money! Could have spent that money on a plane ticket to actually see my husband. 🤦🏽‍♀️

Is that 70 working days or calendar days?

Really well said it sister, as my husband done his biometric on the 7th jan and it’s only been 10 working days, we applied through priority service, and ur husband application took 70 days from the biometric that’s a long time. I can feel ur feelings, allah know best, this time will go inshallah good days we’ll come for all those who are waiting inshallah, Good luck😊

It’s very difficult. I read so many priority service comments and they receive theirs within 2 weeks or a week and it makes you feel so disheartened... but what can you do😩 I guess aAllah has different plans for everyone and they are best regardless of how hard it might seem right now. I feel we should take each comment on here lightly because we don’t know the case of everyone individually so just think whenever your time comes it will be the best time for you. As Allah wills. I used to get so angry but now I’ve realised everyone’s luck is different.

Eliza was your application on priority or standard service? X

I would agree if I had heard anything but tbh standard or priority doesn’t really matter... depends on your luck. I paid priority and 70 days later nothing so 🤷🏻‍♀️ I think they say applications are completed within 120 days so you should hear something soon?

If you go through the forums and look at the posts where people have mentioned they recieved a collection email or a case not straightforward email. There is a small pattern. Everyone who applied on priority and received a case not straightforward email, got the email on day 26 or after. I found 12 cases where a husband applied for a wife and got the visa. Out of these 12 cases 11 of them got the email for collection before or on day 26 and only 1 got it on day 30 without the case not straightforward email. So its safe to say if you dont get a collection email by day 26, your application is going to have a long delay. All of this is from priority cases for wife ranging from October 2019 to January 2020.
