I assume you used standard service of 8 weeks of new system UKVCAS.
And No update/communication after biometric and you received straight away the BRP.
Tier 2 general or dependent?

Yes I applied with 2 dependents and used standard service (upto 8 weeks) under new system through sopra.
Didn’t receive any email/letter and directly received BRP through Dx courier.

Applied for Tier 2 Dependant standard postal application. (old system). Got the BRP today through Dx Delivery. Passport and supporting documents delivered on 01/02/2019.

Wanted to share my experience, my dependents applied for a tier 2 extension in December and after 7 weeks they got their BRP cards delivered home., without any information or emails of any kind from the home office.

I am in the same situation and done my biometric on 22nd Dec. Still been told to wait when I contacted them.

Try calling them and see what they say.

I have made the online application for 3 dependent on 13 DEC 2018 and submitted biometric on 21 DEC 2018 through new service of Sopra Steria in Glasgow as Standard service. As of now I have not received any acknowledgment email after biometric or any update from them.

Please let me know is that normal. I mean do they always sent acknowledgment or not.

Update - after writing above lines then an hour later I got the BRP of all 3 dependants and its approved.
My timelines were.
Application date 13 December
Biometric date 21 DEC
Standard service of up to 8 weeks UKVCAS (new service)
No follow up or escalation.
No Acknowledgment letter/update letter or email.
BRP received on 11 Feb
Duration for BRP- 8 weeks 4 days from application and 7 weeks and 3 days from biometric date.

Update - after writing above lines then an hour later I got the BRP of all 3 dependants and its approved.
My timelines were.
Application date 13 December
Biometric date 21 DEC
Standard service of up to 8 weeks UKVCAS (new service)
No follow up or escalation.
No Acknowledgment letter/update letter or email.
BRP received on 11 Feb
Duration for BRP- 8 weeks 4 days from application and 7 weeks and 3 days from biometric date.

Yes, you are right. Our Timelines is exactly same as Neilen.

May be you should get some news in this week or by next week.

I don't get one thing is how come some of them get their results on time and some are waiting for 2 to 3 months.

My case is just like Neilen, My wife extension as a dependent. Most of the documents are exactly the same type of documents which I submitted before for her.

So why take so long. This is just so frustrating.

Hi All,

Just called the UKVI contact center and been told that they have escalated this to Home Office and my application is in the standard service and not the priority service and was been told you will get your refund.

So my 8 weeks will finishes by end of next week , so will have to wait until then and see how it goes.
