PR is akin to ILR, they both imply settlement. Yes your will need to meet KoLL for nationalisation, when you apply that will at least include the LIUK test and a B1 language requirement providing you are not exempt.

Exercising treaty right:
employed or self-employed; or
studying; or
economically self- sufficient (meaning that you have sufficient funds to support you without requiring public funds); or
a jobseeker; or
retired; or
someone who has had to cease working in the UK owing to permanent incapacity.
You don't need any test for PR application yet

5 years after marriage
fees £55
You asked this question before about test: NO TEST for PR application. Test is only when you applying under UK LAW ( when you apply for British Citizenship later after PR )
You don't need to include his work history anymore as it will make the case complicated : remember you are family member of a Permanent resident holder in the UK
because your PR application will be very straightforward just send what is required
- Your and his Passport
- His PR certificate
- Your 5 years proof of address
- marriage certificate
- and a cover letter explaining everything
1 ) IF she had it then your PR application will be straightforward and less paperworkrogerex wrote:Hi, sorry to interrupt in your thread and let me know if it bothers you and I'll open a new one; but I post it here as my situation is almost identical but I have the following question:
I'm a non EEA married to a EEA; we both work full time. we have been married for 5 years and my EEA2 cars will expire in march 2014. I want to apply for the PR; from what i read here I have this questions:
1) My wife is european but has never applied for PR as she doesn't need it; would it make my application more straight forward if she had this?
2) As we have been married for 5 years I assume I can apply anytime from now?
Many thanks for your help.
rogerex wrote:Thank you; now my question is: Is it worth for me ask her to get a PR residency; so when I apply to mine is easier or shall I just do it now?
Also when specifically can I apply for the PR? my definite leave to remain finishes in March 2014.
Many thanks
