Refund for cancelled PEO appointment

Post by Mas2012 » Wed Oct 23, 2013 12:24 pm

Dear all
I had to cancel a booked appointment for in-person ILR application on the 17th of October. The application was made for 22nd of November. Although I have sent a letter to peoappointmentrefunds@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk, nothing is heard. Does anyone know how long it will take before they return the money (in my case it was around 3750 pounds)? I know they say up to 28 days, but I have a feeling that I should have received a confirmation stating that by now.
I had to cancel to re-book the appointment as I needed to remove one of the dependants, and re-book with one dependant, this means they have also debited around 2600 pounds also for the 2nd booking.
Does anyone know how I can accelerate the refund?

Any advise is very much appreciated.
Best regards, Mas

They will usually refund within 2 weeks even though they say up to 28 days.

No point in calling them because they won't be able to give you more info about your cancellation request.

You will receive an email once it's been refunded and no you won't receive any email until it is refunded.

I had made and cancelled an appointment back in September and they refunded in 10 days. I called them 2 days after requesting cancellation via email and they couldn't give me any additional info.

Hope this helps.

I have cancelled an appointment on 10th Sept 2015. I haven't received the refund until 10th Oct 2015.

Then I have written an email on 10th Oct 2015 to PSCappointmentrefunds@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk

Everyday I send a reminder mail, but of no use.

On 14th Oct 2015 I have sent a reminder mail with below details. Then I received a response from them on 27th Oct 2015 which is 10 working days. They have mentioned that amount will be refunded in 28days from the date of this email.

Your name:
Payment number:
Worldpay ref no:
Booking reference number :
Fee paid:

Moral of this:
1. As soon as you cancel an appointment, send an email to the above email address for the refund
2. Do not forget to provide the below details in your email. Otherwise your email will be disregarded
Your name:
Payment number:
Worldpay ref no:
Booking reference number :
Fee paid:
3. There is no contact number where you can call.

Hope this information helps.
