help with step daughter's visa

I would greatly appreciate if anyone can help me with this issue. Can my wife who is a British citizen sponsor her step daughter ( my daughter) to come and join us here in the UK from outside the EU. I can't sponsor my daughter my self because I haven't got indefinite leave to remain yet. I was given DL outside immigration rules under family life as I have a british wife and kids. So my main question is can my wife Sponsor her and if so, how do we go about it. Child lives with my mother back in my home country and her mother (my ex) couldn't afford to look after her. Please note that (my ex) is a citizen of Swaziland and I am a citizen of Zimbabwe and the child lives in Zimbabwe. Thanks for your input

Your wife can only be able to sponsor your daughter if the mother is dead.

You could try an application under Article8, but as the rules stand, your wife will be unable to sponsor your child, you can try and sponsor when you have acquired settlement.

Thanks very much Obie really appreciate that. So in my situation what are chances of my daughter joining us in the UK after i have aquired indefinite leave to remain. Her mom lives in another country and she lives in my home country and cared for by my relatives.
