HSMP Rejected -ITR Acknowledgment not accepted

Hi,

I have applied for Initial HSMP in th end of june. I have suplied 12 months pay slips and new ITR acknowledgement along with original Form 16 as proof for Past Earnings.

I got my decision on 6 th of July and it is rejected quoting the following reason:

" You have not Submitted income Tax return (SARAL) as evidence. You have provided an acknowledgement form from Income Tax Department and form 16 however we cannot accept them as evidence"


They awarded zero points for this section. I am planning to apply for review.

Can any one provide sample review leeters that i can use as template.
Also has anyone got rejected for this reason and have applied for a review

Please help.

Did you send bank statement as well.

or it was just form 16, salary slips and ITR Ack

Now it seems that the embassy here needs to update it...I donnno much about it...but will it possible to appeal to the embassy here to take the right steps...

Pscs75,

Please let us know if you had provided a covering letter
explaing the change from saral to new Itr forms. Don't know whether
they will consider this letter?? I have also sent ITR2 form along with my application.

Hi,
I have not sent bank statements. I have included covering letter explaining how the amouts in ITR acknowledgments and tax deductiosn are arrived at. But I have not explicitly mentioned that ITR is introduced from this year.

I am planning to give references of IT dept website in my review request. Not sure if that works!. It will be helpfule if some one provides me with a sample review request.

I am under the impression that the new ITR acknowledgement has details of the Salary returned !!

Now as far as the review is concerned:

(1) Go to IT website & take a printout of the section which talks about introduction of new IT procedures
(2) Get a certificate from a CA regarding your Gross Salary, Taxable Salary, Tax deposited. The certificate should also say that the IT return practice has changed in India and only acknowledgements are being issued right now.
(3) If your CA is well connected, he can get an assessment done on your return (in a day or two). The assessment order has all the details mentioned above

You can write to HO regarding a review, saying that whatever you are submitting are not fresh pieces of evidences but just explanatory/supporting dox to the evidence submitted already.

Draft a cover letter carefully and I think you should be through.
