KET - English Language Test timeline

Hi,

My wife (Angolan) is due to sit the Key English Test as part of her UK Spouse Visa application with the exam date set for the 5th of December. Due to a possible delay over the Christmas period and a cut-off date for travelling with my wife at the end of February (she wil be 7 months pregnant then) we are anxious to get the visa application submitted as soon as possible. However the English Exam result will be the last piece of evidence/supporting documentation required and I am worried about when the results will be available.

Can anyone please confirm if the results are available on the internet using login details before the official certificate is issued? If so, will this be enough evidence to be included as official supporting documentation rather than having to wait for the certificate?

KET results are normally released two weeks after the examination which can be checked online. Since April 2013 no certificate is required for the KET it will be verified online by UKVI using applicants name, DOB and passport number. UKVI have been given access by Cambridge to view examination results. So on the VAF4A application you will need to state that the applicant has taken the Cambridge KET and the date the test was taken in the english requirement section.

As soon as results are available you can apply for the visa. Certificate could take up to 2 months to reach the applicant.

My partner sat the test on the 11/10/14, and we have been informed that the results will be available by the 21/11, with the earliest possible date being the 10/11 (approx 1 month), so I would plan for a bit longer than 2 weeks to be on the safe side.

It seems that we will have to wait that bit longer anyway. My wife also has to do the TB test and as she is pregnant, we will have to opt for the sputum test rather than the x-ray which means the results will not be available until after 8 weeks. I thought that the English exam was the last part of the jigsaw, but it seems not.
