Pakistan Spouse Visa Questions. Please Help.

Post by BilalPathan786 » Mon Jun 15, 2015 9:47 pm

Hi, really hope someone could answer some of my questions, unfortunately the Home Office don't make it easy to get answers from them and the Spouse Visa requirements are very confusing.

My situation, arranged marriage from Pakistan in March 2015, i get along very well with my wife and just want her to be here with me.
I earn £18,933 and have around £6,000 savings.

My wife and i talk at least once a day for about 30-40 minutes and on most days we talk about 3 times a day and i can request call logs so that isn't an issue.

So my questions -

1. Will the £6,000 savings be sufficient, as I've been told by a family friend that against the salary that i earn i would actually need about £15,000 savings which would take me years to get to. Is this correct?

2. Since i got married i've started to save more money, in March my savings were around £2,000 with around another £3,000 in cash at home (silly i know) but over the last couple of months i have deposited all that money plus more into my savings account, will this be questioned?

3. Last question, me and my wife talk to each other on the phone and use Whatsapp alot but i've also been told i should send her emails to prove our relationship, and would i need to send the entire Whatsapp chat log as there is some personal messages i would rather not share.

Sorry for the long post really hope someone can help, my wife speaks almost fluent English to this Inshallah will not be an issue.

Thanks in advance and good luck to everyone else applying.

I think that your income is fine as it needs to be £18,600 p.a. You have to make sure all this money is going through your bank account.

You don't need large savings, but enough for the application and flights.

If you are paying cash into the account and it is coming not from your wage but from cash under your mattress then they would get suspicious about its source.

You meet the income level through employment so you don't need to show savings. In any case, only earnings over £16,000 would be considered. You can submit a selection of Whatsapp messages, you don't need to include the more personal ones.
