ILR successful on Croydon PEO on 23 July 2015

Post by swamik1 » Fri Jul 24, 2015 2:54 pm

Hi all,

Thanks everyone for your help in clearing my doubts regarding my ILR application.

Let me put it in simple.

I applied for my ILR as a Limited Company Director with 50-50 shareholding. I was bit of nervous about my earnings because i have taken dividend which was more than profits for the earnings period. So i have brought forward profits from previous year and justified the excess dividends. I have wasted lot of time in taking photocopies of all my original documents, they did not ask any photocopy.

I have attached the following documents.

1. Payslips and dividend vouchers
2. Personal and Business bank statements.
3. Accountant letter (mentioned shareholder info, current profits and last year profits)
4. Contract letter
5. UK Naric certificate confirming my degree was taught in English
6. LIUK (for both)
7. B1 English test for spouse
8.Company papers (Registration and VAT certificate)
9. Council tax, bank statement for cohabitant
10.12 month company Management account
11. Previous year company accounts.
12. Degree certficate
13. payslip and dividend vouchers for wife (did not submit with the form)
14. photographs

Thanks

Hi Swamik,

I have my ILR appointment tomorrow and my application is assembled but wanted clarification on the evidence you gave in comparison with my own just so I am confident I have what I need:

Q1. What did you actually list in your application as evidence you were providing for your previous earnings? I know that for each type of earnings you need to show two types but it seems like any one of the following combinations would suffice:
"1. Payslips and dividend vouchers
2. Personal and Business bank statements."

In my case, I am bringing extra evidence just in case, but don't want to overload as conventional wisdom seems to be that keeping it simple is better (not faulting you for bringing more). So a question for you and others:
- if I am the sole shareholder in my limited company and my earnings were from salary and dividends, can I provide the following combination as my sole evidence of earnings:
--Personal Bank Statements (showing salary and dividends coming in) and Business Bank Statements (showing salary and money paid out)

Q2. I noticed you brought your company registration (was this original?) and VAT certificate; were you asked for these and did you list those in your application? I only have a scan of my registration and for VAT would only have what was done online when I registered (a poor looking web page printout)

Thanks!

Q1 : I mentioned payslips, dividend vouchers, bank statement, mgmt. accounts etc.

For salary two different source of earnings are :

payslips and bank staments

for dividend :

dividend voucher, bank statement and Mgmt accounts

You can't give personal and business bank statement as two different source of earnngs because both are from bank.

Q2 : Yes I kept all my company papers along with the application form (VAT, Registration certificate)

Thanks
