I am a Lithuanian citizen who is living and working in Uk for 6 years , i am thinking to apply for a British Citizenship , my questions are
Do the British authority will inform Lithuanian embassy about my second nationality ?
Do the Lithuanian embassy can find out that i have a British nationality in future ?
In case if i change my name on a British passport will my country find out that ?
Please help ....
Are you Lithuanian or Swedish? (in other posts you mention Sweden).
Anyhow...
1) Doubtful - each country is sovereign & independent
2) Doubtful - unless you somehow let them know either intentionally or accidentally at some time.
3) You can't just change your name 'on the fly'. You would have to follow a legal process to change your name if you expect to use that name to apply for a passport.
That will create a papertrail which is potentially traceable.
It probably also depends on how hard someone is searching.
Don't forget it's very hard not to leave a papertrail & digital footprint, at least in the first world...
Do you ever plan to return to your home or former countries?
Stupid & government agencies & police agencies do share & exchange certain data on citizens.
Think of departure control systems, Interpol watchlists etc.
There are also public & published databases such as voter registration lists & public records offices.
