BRP Collection (Child)

Hi all,
Couple of quick questions if someone can help please.

1) My step daughter's settlement visa has just been issued. She will be travelling to the UK on 21st September. Her vignette is valid until 28th September so we want to be sure about the process for collecting the BRP.
The visa4uk website says that a letter will be sent giving BRP collection instructions.
There was no letter with the passport/visa, so will this letter be sent to us in the UK?

2) The gov website says that a person should be nominated to collect the BRP, if it is a child.
Is it possible for the child to collect the BRP themselves, instead of going through this nomination process?
