Absences Last 12 Months

Post by lorarex » Sat Feb 02, 2019 11:25 pm

Hello everyone - would be grateful if someone could please give me their view on how flexible the HO is on absences.
My situation:
* EU citizen applying for naturalisation
* Last 5 years, absences around 350 days
* Last 12 months, absences of 102 days
* Rest is all in order (no conviction, all right evidences at hand, etc)
I know HO exercises discretion up to 100 days; from 101 days, I understand they can exercise discretion if I present family ties + estate + home in the UK: I definitely have my home (I do not own a flat though) and estate in the UK but am not married and do not have children.

Do you think HO can be flexible and accept 102 days? What do you advise I write as a justification/ cover to ask for discretion?

Many thanks all!

And just to add: I have indeed applied their methodology to come to 102 (not counting day I left or day I returned).
