It's been a while since anyone updated their progress so I let my friend know that it most likely going to be a while as we thought that we made the wrong application.Boom1 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 08, 2024 10:30 pmseekingadvice87 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 06, 2024 10:18 pmHas anyone got an update regarding their settled status application or do you think that there is a delay or a backlog. to be honest, I think they have backlog or just delays.
Ah right, so it took about 4 months. It might. I thought it would be a straightforward application for my friend's one as it stated 1 month. Thanks for the update.

Hi, could you please let me know if the your non-EU friend had applied and verified their identification documents using the government phone app or did it by post? Thank you!
Hi, Thanks for the update, can you share the date you applied in May and what date you got the reply. Thanks
You're the first one in months that I have seen granted settled status. Congratulations.

2nd phone call: 05/09/2024, Response is same as 1st phonecall and they are not able to advise on waiting times.
Settled Status: Pending 6months & 2wks since applying.
My question now if anyone knows the answer is: would I as a non-eu family member be able to apply for naturalization at the 6yr mark (20/11/2024 in my case) even if Settled Status hasn't been confirmed by the home office?
Thanks everyone.
