Travel timeline requirement for Visit Visa

Post by uzairzamansheikh » Tue Jun 25, 2019 4:18 pm

Hi,
My parents have got their 2 years visit visa last month (May 2019).
They are planning to visit later this year.
Is there a requirement that they have to travel with in 90 days of receiving their visa? Or they can travel when ever they want in these two years e.g if they don't travel by December this year, would that be fine?
Thanks

Yes, remember though that the clock on the two year visa validity is already ticking.

Perfect. Thanks for your advise.
Yes, I understand that their 2 years started from the date the got their visa, so we are fine with it.
It's just that my parents were told by a family member that 'he thinks' that they have to travel within 90 days of receiving their visas, otherwise their visa will get invalidated.
I hate when people pass wrong/unverified information to confuse others :D
Thanks again.

Best not to listen to people. Always refer to official guidance for clarity.

Also always read the decision letter come along with the passport/BRP
