Hi,

I have come to UK on a student dependent visa in June 2010 and since than living in UK on different visa categories ( student dependent, psw dependent etc) without any break between them.My Husband is now British Citizen.However myself and daughter(Born abroad, arrived in UK 2013) still on dependent visa.

Myself arrive in UK: June 2010
Eligible for 10 years route ILR: June 2020
Currently myself and daughter(dependent) on FLR M : Expire 2021.

Would you kindly guide if myself and daughter both need to apply ILR and pay required fees 2,389 each?

As daughter on dependent visa and valid till 2021 , can't she apply for British citizenship once i have ILR approved? saves us wooping £2,389? Also on other note daughter arrived in May 2013 so she is here over 7 years if thats help?

Your daughter doesn't qualify for ILR based on long residence. SET(LR) form also doesn't allow dependents to apply with you. Once you have ILR, she can apply for ILR on form SET(F).

Yes, the fee is for EACH person apply regardless of route to ILR.

No. She needs ILR first. There is no entitlement to register without ILR for children who are born abroad.

No way to avoid paying.

There is no '7 year ILR' rule. She needs to apply on SET(F) once you have ILR.

Yes, because Set(F) is only for children whose parents are BOTH settled.

Standard service, under normal circumstances, is 8 weeks and up to 6 months.

Correct. Her visa is not dependent on YOU. It is dependent on your spouse.

HI all,

I have completed SET LR form today as I have spend 10 years legally in UK on different visa routes.However i have just realised that within the application form they only asked for LIUK Certificate number and no where they mentioned or ask about my B1 certificate (English Requirement).Is that normal now?should i just submit both LIUK and B1 ceritificates with all others documents? for some reasons document checklist is longer than expected as well for 10 year route SET LR route.

any suggestions?
