Travel using Expire ILR Biometric Card

Hello Guru's

I'm seeking for your advise here, my daughter is in Malaysia who is planning to travel to UK in June'21. We realised her Biometric card is expired in Oct'20 so I'm wondering if she could travel UK with expired ILR BRP then renew her BRP in UK or she needs to apply for BRP Visa to travel?

Gov.UK website suggest for BRP Visa if the BRP is lost/stolen, I cant locate much info for expired BRP

If you are settled in the UK your BRP will say either:

‘Indefinite leave to remain’
‘Indefinite leave to enter’
‘No time limit’
Your BRP will last up to 10 years and will have an expiry date. We advise that you apply for a replacement around 3 months before expiry. Use the BRP replacement service to do this.

If you’re outside the UK
You cannot apply for a replacement BRP if it expires while you are outside the UK. Instead, you’ll need to apply for a ‘replacement BRP visa’, which lets you re-enter the UK once only. It costs £154.

Also note that ILR is lost after 2 years absence from the UK
