FLR FP question

Hi,

I have a question regarding the visa category FLR FP. Can someone please guide if Appendix FM only for Family route or is it for private-life route as well?

The gov linkhttps://www.gov.uk/guidance/immigration ... ly-members shows as if its only for family category?

However, the HO letter I have received states that visa is granted:
"...on the basis of your private life under appendix FM of the immigration rules. ..."

How private life route is under appendix FM (which is for family route)?
