Hi, I am currently on the five-year route to Indefinite Leave to Remain and hold a spouse visa as the partner of a British citizen. I meet the financial requirement independently, based solely on my own income.
I would like to confirm whether it is necessary to provide my husband’s financial details in support of my application. My understanding is that, where the applicant meets the financial requirement on their own, it is not mandatory to include the sponsor’s financial evidence.
I am keen to avoid unnecessarily complicating the application, particularly as my husband has recently transitioned from working as a limited company contractor to permanent employment, which would require the submission of extensive additional documentation if his income were to be included.
I would appreciate your confirmation or guidance on this matter.
Kind regards
