Need of self addressed envelope

Hi,

Wht is the advantage of keeping self addressed envelope.

And the best way to send out documents is thu royal mail Special delivery or recorded delivery.

And how do home office return our documents.

And in case of strike which doesnt effect special delivery or recorded delivery.
