Hi,

I have tier1 general and planning to go UK during Feb 2010. Before that current employer is planning to send me uk for short term assignment.

If the company apply for visa will that be approved or rejected as I already have tier1.

Can I use the existing tier1 to go for short term assignment?

The latest visa in your passport and conditions attached to it override any previous visas. Thus, if your company applies for a new visa (probably Business) and is approved, your Tier-1 will no longer be valid.

You can technically come to the UK on existing Tier-1 for the short term assignment though prepare answers to usual questions that can be asked during Passport Control.
