Previous Earning

Post by Babulal » Mon May 10, 2010 6:05 pm

Hi Guys,

I have a query.
I have been in UK for last 12 months.
For my previous earning, I am planning to show below
1, 11 months of uk salary --
2, 11 months of my Indian base salary without uplift ratio, since this was earned when I was in UK
3, Last month I went to india and provided a corporate training to a company. I have company invoice and bank statement as proof of payment. since this was earned when I was in india, could I use the uplift ratio to this amount.

Please advice.

Regards
Babulal

Is this the only income for the said month? If not, please explain.

I am in a similar situation myself. I have a full work in UK and took two weeks leave to deliver some project management training for a client outside UK. I wondering if i can apply uplift factor to this money made outside uk as i was physically present undertaking this activity. (2 weeks)

Do i ignore my salary for that month in uk if i am applying 2weeks earning uplift

Seniors please advise us people looking forward to apply for tier 1 general

Guys ...sushdmehta et al please dont let us start confusing people here. What we dont know we dont know.

As far as am concern student79 can apply uplift factor since he was physically present to undertake that job.. even if it lasted an hour. Everything is clearly spelt out in policy guidance.... short term employment

I think you need to understand the meaning of "employment" and the contractual obligations attached to it. Can student79 show that he was employed by the client outside the UK (when he's training the clients' employees) while being employed in the UK at the same time?

Can he show income earned in UK for the month and also claim to be present outside UK earning money there in the same month. Remember Tier 1 calculations are based on calendar month basis, not daily or weekly basis that you can claim different income for every different day / week.

As per your logic, any employee who needs to travel overseas for business trips should be able to claim income as per the income band of each country that he visits on his trips - after all he was physically present in those countries to do the work, right?

Sushidmeta .. dats where you get it wrong. The HO says earnings can be from different sources .. part time, salary , self employment et al.
if student79 is in uk employment then has another job to quickly do a training or whatever outside uk he can apply uplift ratio to that money he received even if the job is for a day as long as hes got contract letter, receipt and there is evidence that the company paid into his personal account..... verifiable source

Hes ok. You are missing the whole point, study the guidance well

Hi Sushdmehta, sorry could not respond to your question, just returned to india.

I would be showing 11 months income in YK , Proofs : Payslip, Bankstatement, P60

I am about to take a trainee job for 21 days in june for a company and would be paid commission for it. Proof : TDS Certificate on the company letter head, Bank Statement(Showing the net amount transfered from the company account)

Can i apply the uplift ratio for the 21 days work in India.

Also should I apply Tier 1 from India or is ok to come to UK and apply for Tier 1

Regards
Babulal
